Aside from those that want this country to be a TESTING GROUND for Russian nukes, I don’t see too many people having a big problem with Putin cleaning up his ‘backyard’.

"But why isn't Germany leading this one?" Trump asked. "You know Germany is a very rich, very powerful nation. Why aren't they dealing on it moreso?"

Ball in your court, Angela Merkel... Trump is spot on...

Trumps’ advice goes against that of Zbigniew Brzezinski and other influential American foreign policy advisors of the last 30 years.

A Reagan and a Thatcher might conclude differently, one highly suspects.

I'm absolutely not a Trump fan. (Fine w me if you are, I just don't happen to trust him. At all.)

As Russia expands power and influence, it affects all the countries on this fine planet, and that includes us and our allies.

1. The Ukraine only became a nation unto itself, with the breakup of the Soviet Union. The Ukraine WAS part of Tzarist Russia.

2. It has been common knowledge, as long as someone/anyone in the West knew the name of Putin outside of clandestine circles, that he has been recorded stating his desire to re-unite the former Soviet states.

The last ‘government’ to interdict in military affairs in the Ukraine, and especially the Crimean peninsula was Great Britain, who provided Hollywood and Errol Flynn the storyline of The Charge of the Light Brigade.

This contest of freedom is one that the Ukrainian people have the opportunity to win or lose. Were it a contest between a totalitarian government, a people fighting for their freedom, and with a man in the White House with true American credentials and psyche, then, we might get involved, in any measure.

"But why isn't Germany leading this one?"

For one thing, Germany wasn't a signer of the 1994 Budapest Memorandum guaranteeing Ukrainian sovereignty to get them to return Soviet nuclear weapons to Russia. The US, UK and (snort) Russia were. So much for that guarantee... the next coutry thinking about giving up their nukes will have to remember this event.

Has CNN asked Barry Soetoro, Heinz Kerry, or Cankles the Crimea question?

If not, why not?
If yes, what was the answer?

Good another reason to support Trump.

We have no Imminent National Security Threat in Ukraine.

It’s none of our dam business!

It’s not worth going to nuclear war over.

“Let me explain first of all — this is Europe’s problem much more than ours, OK?” Trump told CNN during a trip to Scotland.

“And Europe isn’t complaining as much as we are. But this is more of a Europe problem,” Trump continued. “And when Europe comes to us and says, ‘We want your help, we want your help,’ but they’re not really doing that. They’re dealing with Russia, they’re taking in the gas, they’re taking in the oil — they’re not really doing that. And you know, we’re making a big deal out of it.”

“But why isn’t Germany leading this one?” Trump asked. “You know Germany is a very rich, very powerful nation. Why aren’t they dealing on it more so? Everything the United States — we’re like the policeman of the world.”
