BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore reached a grim milestone on Friday, three months after riots erupted in response to the death of Freddie Gray in police custody: With 43 homicides in July, the city has seen more bloodshed in a single month than it has in 43 years.
The 43rd recorded homicide was Jermaine Miller, 18, who was shot in the head just before noon the day before.

I don't even have to research what party controlled Baltimore 43 years ago, do I?
Baltimore is not unique in its suffering; crimes are spiking in big {Democrat controlled} cities around the country.
The common denominator.

Another common denominator is that most of these killings are perpetrated by black youth. But we’re not allowed to talk about that. Can’t violate political correctness.
In Baltimore, the mayor and her people are concerned about this. But they have talked about how synthetic drugs may be a factor in the violence. I guess they will do anything to avoid talking about the real reasons for the violence, and who is responsible for the violence.

Note to self: Cancel walking tour of Baltimore...formerly “charm city”.

Isn’t it amazing how many people unarmed teens can kill?

I thought the mayor told the cops to “give them space to destroy” - who knew a crime wave would result?
Oh yeah, we did.

But people say crime is going down.... Like DC!
"Outside of the killings, D.C. has one of the lowest crime rates in the country!"
- Former Washington DC Mayor-for-Life Marion Barry (1936 2014)
Other great quotes by Hizzhonor:
- "The brave men who died in Vietnam, more than 100% of which were black, were the ultimate sacrifice."
- "I am clearly more popular than Reagan. I am in my third term. Where's Reagan? Gone after two! Defeated by George Bush and Michael Dukakis no less."
- "The laws in this city are clearly racist. All laws are racist. The law of gravity is racist."
- "I promise you a police car on every sidewalk."
- "People blame me because these water mains break, but I ask you, if the water mains didn't break, would it be my responsibility to fix them then?"

It’s still a nice city. This is an inner city of Baltimore that’s causing all the trouble. I was there on the 4th for about 3 days and enjoyed it very much. Great food, good museums and it is very pretty and loaded with American history.
