Feds won't reverse denial of Baltimore riot disaster aid

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has refused to reverse its denial of disaster aid to help Maryland and Baltimore recover millions of dollars in costs stemming from rioting in the city in April, Gov. Larry Hogan's office said Thursday.

FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate said in a letter to the Republican governor Wednesday that after thoroughly reviewing Hogan's appeal, the agency had reaffirmed its June 12 finding that a major disaster declaration is "not appropriate for this event."

Well darn. Him and his freeloading useless family already spent, what, 2 billion dollars, just on vacation? Surely they could forego another trip to Hawaii, all in separate 747s, and rebuild Baltimore.

Why should the rest of the taxpayers in the country finance the destruction caused by a bunch of ferals?

Nobody outside the city limits of Baltimore should pay a dime to fix the damage from the riots. The mayor and DA fomented the riots. Let them live with the consequences. I hope the businesses damaged can sue the city for their role in inciting the riot and failing to protect the businesses afterward.
