upert Murdoch wants his top executive at Fox News to rein in the network's coverage of Donald Trump's presidential campaign, but the executive has so far refused to comply, according to a report published Wednesday.
Gabe Sherman of New York magazine quoted an anonymous source who said that Murdoch has tried to get Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes to have the conservative news channel "back off the Trump coverage."
The channel has covered Trump more than any other presidential candidate in the 2016 race, according to the report. And Murdoch has not hesitated to voice his dislike of the current GOP frontrunner.
Murdoch took to Twitter over the weekend to criticize the comments Trump has made so far in his campaign.
Murdoch has privately described Trump as a "phony," according to a New York Times report detailing their relationship.
Sherman's insiders reportedly said Ailes told Murdoch he was covering Trump "the way he wanted to."

Why cant someone with some money and his head screwed on straight who loves America and freedom and hates federal tyranny - why cant someone like that buy up Fox or another major news source?
***
I have often wondered why Limbaugh does not do that. He could put his money where his big mouth is.
Yep.
Looks like a woman.
When is Donald going to buy out Rupert and let him go back to England and Sky news?

That pic needs to be Tweeted as a reply to Murdock’s pithy tweet, about Trump.
As another poster said, upthread, this IS war. They (establishment) are in FULL panic mode!
[conservative news channel]
Hardly
I see Rupert didn’t even ping @realDonaldTrump to his swipe tweet. Coward.
Someone needs to tweet that pic of ValJar, Rupert and ¡Jeb! to Rupert and ping Trump.
I could be wrong, but I think we may have a God like tailwind pushing us for now. I am going to enjoy it.
Rupert’s ex-wife, Wendi Deng, has an interesting immigration background, and no more morals than her sleazy husband.
As an ambitious young Chinese woman, Wendi seduced a boring American engineer right out of his marriage. She then dumped her clueless new hubby as soon as she hit American shores.
Citizenship gained, she then seduced Rupert out of his second marriage.
Now comes another divorce, when eighty-something Rupert got too decrepit to do anything for her.
So Wendi made her money the old fashioned way. On her back... then move on

Lol!! Perfect. Thanks.
Fox is not a conservative channel. It is pro-homosexual.
I was watching the Five on Monday and Greg Gutfield said something about “Caitlyn” and Geraldo shouted “We aren’t supposed to say anything bad about Caitlyn!”
They can’t criticize a tranny but they can go after a “fake” Republican blowhard phoney.
The pundits are definitely censored.
Presents arguments by proponents of both sides of an issue.
Be that as it may, I see no reason why someone with the bucks and the brains and an ardent desire for the truth factually, spiritually, politically, economically, etc. doesn’t get ahold of a Fox or something like it on a national scale.
Murduch donates to the Homo Olympics and has been a big supporter of sodomite “rights” for years. He’s no more a conservative than Warren Buffet. There’s a reason no one on Faux News criticizes queer “marriage”. It’s Murduch and valuing their job.
Other then Meygan Kelly and sometimes Gretta I’ve pretty much given up on Fox News. The new girl at CNN Burntte, I think, is not bad for the first 30 minutes or so but after 30 minutes of straight news she tends to drift left.
Someone who knows what he/she's talking about, please correct me if I'm wrong...
My understanding is that for "news" networks, the channel must be independent, not the mouthpiece of the "owner."
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the legal FCC BS controlling these matters.
