Pundits of the left and the right have spilled much digital ink on Donald Trump in recent weeks, increasing in recent days with his unconscionable comments about John McCain. (McCain is not my favorite politician but a fighter pilot who refuses early release from the Hanoi Hilton because other members of our military had been there longer than he had is by any measure a war hero.)
.....
But bad policy, bad hair, and a bad attitude arent the biggest problem with Donald Trump.
Trumps political differences with the Barack Obama are, in most cases, stark. But I see a troublesome similarity in their personalities, one which makes both unfit to sit behind the Resolute desk.
Beyond championing one destructive and ill-considered policy after another, Barack Obama has an additional defining characteristic, one that makes him such a terrible leader of a democratic nation: he is a narcissist.
......
Donald Trump, like Barack Obama, sees himself as nearly infallible, above criticism, and not bound by the usual rules of the game. Each believes we should be grateful just to have him and each has been reinforced in that view by fawning admirers. Because of the two mens shared devotion to the politics of personality, Donald Trump just as much as Hillary Clinton, although in an utterly different way would be the very third Obama term that so many voters across the political spectrum are rightly desperate to avoid.

You being a well-known ass, you can’t embarass me.
Never let the facts get in the way of a good yarn.
Really tired of hearing that BS. We are not talking about Reagan. What was Reagan 11th commandment. Focus all attacks on democrats, not republicans. As recently as March of 2015 the Combover talked up the benefits of “comprehensive immigration reform “.
That’s because the Reagan Trump comparison, and your comments, were asinine. And obviously you can’t answer refutation of your absurd tax comment.
Neither can you refute the fact you’re an ass.
analogically challenged

Love it!
I won’t refute that. You bring it out. But that’s irrelevant to your self embarrassment and the fact that I absolutely NAILED YOU to the wall on your absurd tax comment.
Lot of that going around FR lately too.....sadly......
You’ve nailed nothing. All you’ve done is use words, which is all you ever do.
You are nothing to anyone here but words on a screen. And those words reveal you to be a pompous ass with False Authority Syndrome. And that’s all you’ll ever be.
In an effort to get a glimpse of what the future holds it is necessary to account for all the facts currently available and what the magnitude of their impact will be. To me, the biggest fact we consistently fail to remember until it bites us every four years is this: it does not matter who the Rats and GOP nominate, Trump, Cruz, Hillary, or Sanders the GOP nominee has to win Florida and Ohio if not Virginia as well by 10-15% or the Rats will steal it. Sorry to be a downer but there is just no way.
We might postulate some effort on the part of Patriots to prevent that fraudulent election from bearing it’s tainted fruit but the likelihood does seem small. Americans don’t seem to understand just what they have pissed away for 0bamaphones and free healthcare. Americans are about to end up with a dictator. Inevitable. Inescapable, and not one of the Right.
Obviously you think this is about me, and not about the ideas you are confused on. Set me aside for a second, if you can, which may be hard because I am living rent free in your head quite obviously.
Your Reagan analogy is ridiculous. There are legitimate ways to support the argument for Trump...that is not one of them. I will continue my education of you below:
If you say you support Trump because you believe he’s true conservative even though he just got that way - that’s legit. I would disagree, but it’s a legit argument.
If you say you support Trump because his ability to irk the media and the GOP estabs is enough reason to vote for him....I would disagree, but it’s legit.
And there are others.....BUT the Reagan analog is pure sophistry and very shallow and sophomoric.
He was a POW in the Hanoi Hilton for eight years. That was his length of captivity at any rate. I believe he was moved around, as they all were as I understand it.
Good man. I agree, God bless Vice Admiral James B. Stockdale.
Much as I don’t like Donald if we’re going to rule out candidates for being narcissists then we just DQd everybody. Nobody tries to become president without being a narcissist first.
I support Trump for what he is doing to the enemedia/Rat complex. I seriously doubt he makes it through the nomination process. I seriously doubt he wants to. Enjoy the whipping the enemedia is getting. I am.
