Clark: We have got to identify the people who are most likely to be radicalized. We've got to cut this off at the beginning. There are always a certain number of young people who are alienated. They don't get a job, they lost a girlfriend, their family doesn't feel happy here and we can watch the signs of that. And there are members of the community who can reach out to those people and bring them back in and encourage them to look at their blessings here.

Wes was NATO Commander and running things in Kosovo, when for one of the very first times we worked directly with Russian troops in a peace-keeping role. Gen. Clark inaugurated our inaugural operation with a new ally, by ordering a British General to militarily interdict the Russians as they attempted to occupy the airport they believed they were to safeguard and operate from. Wes had other ideas and absent Gen. Mike Jackson of the British Army, he would have picked a fight with a country we had just ended 40 years of Cold War with.

One month later Wes was relieved and put out to pasture, rightfully so. Some of this was relayed to me by a person who was there but most is public knowledge.

They don't get a job, they lost a girlfriend, their family doesn't feel happy here and we can watch the signs of that.

The end result here is a sort of utopian world view where everyone's medicated into happiness and we live as drones doing the bidding of the state. Orwell saw the future clear as day.

I suggest a rubber room and a healthy sized thorazine smoothie for Wesley Clark. It’s the perfect gift for the man who almost started WWIII.

You’ve gotta love the double-mindedness of the left.
On one hand they want, no they demand, that we assimilate, tolerate, accept, and embrace those different from us.

On the other hand, “So, if these people are radicalized and they don’t support the United States and they are disloyal to the United States, as a matter of principle fine. It’s their right and it’s our right and obligation to segregate them from the normal community for the duration of the conflict. And I think we’re going to have to increasingly get tough on this...”

So who ya going after Wes?

Muslims, Illegals, and Criminals who hate America (and you know they do)?

Or Americans (you know Right-Wing Crackers who hold their Bible and guns) who are loyal to their nation, but hate their gov’t?

You are a spawn of the devil!!!!

internment camps [have] always been a blight on US history. How can you catch a person who is unhappy or depressed before they become a lone wolf?

In most cases it's not a matter of "catching" someone.

I remember those days though 2,000 miles away from the West Coast we hardly were aware. But relocation may have saved lives -- Americans were not dismissive of Pearl Harbor as some of our liberal friends appear to be of 9/11.

I say again I believe that there is a difference between Muslims and Islamists.

So as the Islamists here in the U.S. continue their attacks there's going to be a point where public outrage takes over.

It is time to talk about the difference between relocate and intern. This need not be a huge concern if the Muslims would stand up by the millions as the Turks have done to protest Erdogan and his Islamists AK Party. But.. alas..

after December 7th, 1941 people of Japanese, German, and Italian descent, the majority were U.S. citizens, were relocated.

Those suspected of cooperating with the enemy were interned in separate camps Japanese I think mostly in northern California.

Those relocated were moved to places in several of the states. One was Jerome War Relocation Center in Arkansas. wiki source, picture of girl on way to school

Because of Japan’s successful surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, many . . . felt that the United State’s entire western coast was at risk of invasion. Communities and concentrated areas of people with Japanese ancestry were suddenly considered security risks even though no acts of sabotage or treason had taken place. [IIRC there was also concern for the safety of the Americans of Japanese descent.]

Jerome War Relocation Center in Arkansas

Even though many were constantly struggling to make a living in this new reality they had been forced into, the internees left a positive mark on the local community. They showed the locals new methods of crop irrigation, impressed teachers with their hard-work in the classroom, and created distinctive art pieces that reflected their Japanese heritage.

Many citizens left the relocation centers and joined the Military. How many Muslims (not Islamists) would do that?

It was war.. and we were just startled awake -- again Americans were not dismissive of Pearl Harbor as some of our liberal friends appear to be of 9/11. We never worried one iota about offending anyone.

The only blight on our history is the failure to make redress for those losing property and/or falsely accused.

Let’s start with everybody named Mohammed, everybody from Somalia, anyone who has traveled to Yemen, Qatar, Iran, Syria, Gaza, etc. That’s a start.

It's that three letter word "jobs" again. That's all that's needed.

"U.S. State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said the Islamic State will be defeated through better job opportunities."

Wesley:

Would it ever occur to you liberals that it might be better to control immigration than to set up gulags?

Here is a chance for another maxim: unrestrained, unrestricted immigration in an age of terrorism inevitably leads to gulags.

Why do I think such camps would soon be used to hold: Global Warming Deniers, opponents of Gay marriage, Islamophobes, and those who oppose illegal immigration? Because they would.

Pretty soon, the guards of such camps would be the Jihadis they were originally supposed to hold.

Nah,we do not have to do all that. We would only have to go to their homelands and kill their entire extended family. Just a few times will do.

This from the guy who Stormin Norman had to send home early from the Bosnian war for incompetence and inability to play with others.

We need to deport all Muslims and let no more in the country. Close down the Mosques and get back to being Americans.
