Scott Walker backtracks on reaction to gay Boy Scout leaders
Politico ^ | 07/15/2015 | Adam Lerner

Scott Walker stumbled over his own prior comments Wednesday, saying that when he called on the Boy Scouts to reinstate a ban on gay leaders because it “protected children,” he meant the ban protected them from media scrutiny.

“The protection was not a physical protection,” Walker said Wednesday at an event in South Carolina, according to The New York Times. Rather, the Wisconsin governor continued, he was referring to “protecting them from being involved in the very thing you’re talking about right now, the political and media discussion about it, instead of just focusing on what Scouts is about, which is about camping and citizenship and things of that nature.”

To be fair, this is what his communication director said, which I have to assume was okayed by Walker:

“Perhaps to stem some of the blowback, Walker’s communication director later responded, “Of course the governor thinks the president is a Christian. He thinks these kind of gotcha questions distract from what he’s doing as governor of Wisconsin to make the state better and make life better for people in his state.”

LOL....good point.

I guess she will think the same about Walker now?

Interesting how Walker is exposed as a RINO and she goes quiet.

My query “why is everyone so terrified of them (homosexuals)” is not a strawman question. Look at how Scott Walker just reacted. Or how about Mike Pence? For years he seemed to be a solid and principled conservative, but the “gay” lobby has him petrified with fear, like a rabbit in front of a boa constrictor. When it comes to taking on the “gay” lobby, why does everyone have the heart of a rabbit?

"Huh?

I don't want to smear Walker supporters as a group or come across as if I'm accusing them. It was just one who had a meltdown and said Cruz has a "gay lover"...even made a disgusting remark about his two little girls. TNMOUTH was there.

Not all Walker supporters are bad...but many of them trolled Cruz. Karma is, well, you know the expression.

I have no sympathy for them when we have been trying to tell them the truth about their guy.

Walker has to walk a fine line. He manages right, while he talks soft-right-moderate. His actions speak louder than his words. He’s a proven commodity.

As a flip flopper, he is entirely a liability. He's not a bad guy, mind you, but I have 0 respect for someone 'walking the fine line'. That's pol-speak for being 'politically correct'. Political correctness has gotten us where we now are. No thank you. Walker is politically expedient, and will shift his positions to match the current winds, as we're already witnessing.

Like all the “conservatives” in the past, he turns out to be a total dud. We should start a pool on when the next one of the 16 will show his true colors.

The only person I’ve seen standing up to the “gestapo” in this whole year has been Kid Rock telling the Confederate Flag haters to kiss his ass. And GM balked, too.

This means he knows nothing about the pedo homo culture and he’s an absolute danger to boys in this country. Or he’s so PC, he could care less about homos hanging out with young people around their tents, summer camps, etc.

Just cause homos don’t want anyone talking about a problem of historical homo molestion of scouts, does not mean you don’t talk about the problem. Political correctness is a self made prison as Trump has shown with discussing illegal alien criminals...a taboo subject to liberals and rinos.

.
I tend to doubt that.

Once a man has had “sex” with another man he knows what he has done (or has been done to him).

Any man that has contemplated such but not yet done it knows what he is in his soul.

One has to enjoy evil to go there.

Mr. Obama is no Christian. A follower of Christ would not systematically lie as he does.

"Can't help but wonder if he's the Chamber of Commerce guy."

Yes he is a Chamber of Commerce guy, they all are except Trump. They have to be Chamber of Commerce guys because that is where most of the $$$$ comes from to fund a winning campaign. Walker is the CoC number 1 backup candidate should Jeb fail miserably with the primary voters. There are other backup candidates like Perry, Linda, Chirsty, etc.

The CoC nightmare candidate is Trump. Trump must be stopped by any means. They would be unhappy with either of the Wacko Birds too (Paul, Cruz) but the idea of Trump getting elected makes their heads explode.

The CoC had everything planed to perfection. Jeb vrs Hillary, win win for the CoC since there is not a dine worth of policy difference between the two. And then along came the 10 billion dollar man, Donald Trump. He ruined everything. He can't be bought, he can't be bribed, he's not politically correct and horror of horrors he tell the truth!

The word is out, attack Trump or lose the big money donors the CoC controls. Which is why there appears to be a contest to see who can best attack Trump. Even Cruz joined in by praising John McCain an stating he was "proud to serve along side him". Now this is the same McCain that called Cruz and "wacko bird" on the Senate floor, called the voters that elected Crux "tea party hobbits" and just recently called his own constituents in Az "crazies" for supporting Trump.

If the CoC has enough power to make Cruz kiss McCain butt they are a force to be taken very seriously.
