The Obama administration is a case study in mismanagement. Republican presidential candidates should remind voters that management matters. And it isnt just about government process. People have lost faith in our politics and government. The next president needs to work tirelessly to restore voters faith in our governments ability to function. What part of the federal government is working better than it did six years ago? The Democratic Partys fundamental doctrine that government is the solution is in tatters.
The failure to produce shovel-ready projects, the IRS targeting malfeasance, the calamity of the Obamacare roll-out, the bungling of the Fast and Furious operation, the mass confusion surrounding the enforcement of Americas southern border, the Veterans Affairs neglect, the lack of transparency in the White House, the bewildering events surrounding the Secret Service, the oblivious Office of Personnel Management, the tolerance of sanctuary cities that may have directly led to the death of an innocent American citizen and, now, a revelation that accused Charleston, S.C., shooter Dylann Roof was able to purchase a gun that he otherwise should not have been able to buy because there was a lapse in the FBI background check system. All of these are examples that reflect a flat-out case of gross mismanagement of government under President Obama.
I think Obama believes that governance is about theatrics, symbolism and gestures not about executive management. Every administration and the government as a whole eventually reflects many of the characteristics of the incumbent president. People take their lead from the person at the top and a work culture emerges. ......

I am sure ‘management’ matters but ... it’s important to remember that, government is NOT the answer, and Americans have to GET that.
We are being governed by the people for whom Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Margaret Sanger, Carter, the Clintons, the Bushes, and Obama were all the puppets. Their goal, the slaughter of Christians, first in the Middle East, then in the U.S.
Bump
I prefer simply acknowledging that government at this scale doesn't have the ability to function, that the last six years has proven that more and more government makes things worse, and that the only solution is dramatically cutting it back, not managing it better.
Thank you, as I read the article I was thinking there’s got to be more than just Obama’s incompetent ‘management style’.
As Arthur pointed out in #4 post, all those names listed subscribe to the Central Planning doctrine. However, the younger generations have been brainwashed into favoring Marxism/communism system. And I really worry about the future.
They didn’t mention the hacking of peoples files. The government is the single largest repository of information about citizens and it hasn’t taken steps to protect those files. Major problem.
The President is the chief executive. The President is to most efficiently and effectively execute (make happen) the will of the American people.
The will of the American people is to be expressed through our Congress.
The best predictor of someone’s future performance is a rigorous exam of that person’s past performance.
Even a cursory glance at Obama’s past performance indicated that he was completely unprepared to be our President. His performance proves that he was unprepared.
Our selection system for our chief executive won’t work properly if our citizens do not do their jobs and properly investigate each candidate. Our selection system will also not work properly if the citizens don’t vote for competence, but for self-reward.
Obama refuses to try and improve his performance. This is from arrogance or cowardice or laziness. None of those are qualities to be admired in our chief executive. This unwillingness to learn to improve his performance guarantees his future failures. It guarantees more misery for the citizens of the United States.
We come now to Hillary Clinton. Is she prepared? Does she show a desire to improve her abilities as a chief executive?
I just see someone who wants wealth and power.
+1.
Otherwise the message will just end up being, “we'll manage big, intrusive government better.” That's not a choice for voters. That's a echo chamber.
We need to remember:
“Our struggle is not against flesh and blood.”
Perfectly said!
We don’t need a Leviathan government that works better, we need a lot less government!
I suspect that somewhere around 40% of federal government jobs exist only to give a fat check to incompetent people who serve no useful purpose and who often do worse than nothing, like the VA and OPM. The VA and OPM are just scandals they couldn’t hide any longer. Most federal agencies are as bad or worse.
My suggestion is to cut funds for federal salaries by 40% and then cut funds for government “support contractors” by at least 50%, so the feds don’t shift their employees to “contractor” jobs.
I'm with you. I could imagine a more competent executive, but the existing structure is so vast and has so much rot that it has to be pruned back dramatically as part of the repair.
The Dems will be able to easily overcome all of that by sending a few bankers to jail and forgiving student loans.
