I am looking at you, Tommy Boy.
Trump is effective.
One of the reasons Trump can get away with his remarks and Tancredo couldn’t is that he’s...Trump. His reputation is about being outspoken and brash. He has/had a TV show in which he’s famous for telling people “you’re fired”. Unlike a career politician, Trump will not ruin his future because he didn’t tone things down. If his political hopes fade, he can cry all the way to the bank.
It wasn’t Tancredo who said anti-immigrant, it was the author of this piece. I disagree with Tancredo though. Trump has gotten more attention on the subject in three weeks than Tancredo has in three decades.
Me to Tancredo: Go to Hell.
I always liked Tancredo, but I don’t remember him getting as much attention with his immigration message. Maybe partly because his name is not Trump.
The real estate mogul and 2016 presidential hopeful ‘needs to be a little bit more artful,’ Tancredo told the Denver Post. When asked whether he supports Trumps stance on immigration, though, Tancredo responded, ‘God, yes.’”

What’s the problem? Looks like Tancredo agrees with Trump. I guess Tancredo may be a tad jealous Trump is actually getting results and a discussion going.
How can anyone argue with the person who got all those votes in 2008, and all that respect from the media.
I can’t think of any examples where toning it down has ever worked to one’s intended benefit. I can think of many examples where ramping it up has worked effectively.
Donald Trump doesn’t listen to ANYONE. He says whatever he thinks. And if he’s criticized, he says it again, usually in more powerful and interesting terms.
Anyone who attempts to give advise to Donald Trump on toning it down, or on virtually anything for that matter, just doesn’t get it.
Tom who?
Well I love Tom Tancredo but I think Trump is a big boy and can handle his own rhetoric.
. He should take lessons from me on how to talk to the press. For a small fee no, actually for a very large fee I will help him out. Youve got to learn how to talk about it, which takes years of practice, which God knows Ive had, said Tancredo.I'm sure Trump can hardly contain his laughter at that advise...
BTW, Tom, how did all that experience work out for you, more important, us?
Tom Tancredo is right.
He is intelligent enough to endorse Ted Cruz.
Tom Tancredo was fighting against illegal immigration in Congress at a time when Trump said he wanted pathway to citizenship for 30 million.
I am looking at you, Tommy Boy.
Tommy could have been an understudy for the character "Harry Ellis" in the first Die Hard movie, smooth talking to Hans Gruber.
I would take a million completely illegal Irish immigrants over a million legal, green-card holding Mexicans any day.
Also, Muslim immigrants to the USA mostly arrive via legal visa or refugee channels. Does that make their growing presence in our homeland a good thing? Of course it doesn't. Islam is poison with or without papers.,
The two most important things about immigrants are where they come from, and in what number. Followed by individual qualifications (Up to a point: I would take a Polish laborer any day over a Pakistani engineer). Legality isn't in my top three.
Tancredo never got out of the gate...Pretty obvious Tancredo could take lessons from Trump...
It is not anti immigrant rhetoric. It is anti illegal immigrant rhetoric. Big difference. Distinction blurred for propaganda effect; no honest debate from Tomcredo.
Tom Tancredo, Steve King, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter all talk like gentlemen when bashing illegals.
Trey Gowdy for instance is a closet RINO and a loudmouth.
So do 14 other 'candidates' for President!
These folks would have told the little boy to SHUT UP!! about the Emperor's New Clothes; too!
