Pundits have focused recently on Hillary Clintons narrowing lead in polls among a group of less well known Republicans, along with voters' growing skepticism about her integrity. But there's a more immediate threat to her electability: In the last few weeks, Clinton has lost significant ground in New Hampshire and Iowa to socialist Bernie Sanders.
The latest Suffolk University poll has Sanders within 10 percentage points of Clinton, at 41-31, among Democrats in New Hampshire. Clinton is only eight points ahead of Sanders, 43-35, in a WMUR/CNN poll. In Iowa she has slipped 26 points since May.
Considering this enthusiasm gap, and data from an Iowa focus group that showed Clintons supporters struggling to list her accomplishments, Hillary finds herself in a precarious position. At this point, national poll numbers mean far less than the numbers in primary and caucus states. That means that Clinton is in serious trouble.
Clinton finds herself with a real and credible threat in the primaries from Sanders, who spoke to 10,000 cheering supporters in Madison, Wisconsin last weekthe biggest crowd that a candidate from either party has drawn.
Over the holiday weekend Sanders drew a crowd of 2,500 in Iowa while Clinton saw much smaller crowds in New Hampshire and was heckled by a voter carrying a poster that read Benghazi and taunts such as carpetbagger and tell us when you were poor at the former Secretary of State.
If Hillary loses the first two states next yearand she couldthe landscape will change, just as it did for Lyndon Johnson in 1968, when he effectively "lost" the New Hampshire primary by winning just 49-42 over Senator Eugene McCarthy. That led to LBJs withdrawal from the race.

Great image! I love it!
Listing Hillary’s accomplishments is like counting flying pigs.
Oh please, if she loses, let her go back into the swamp from whence she slithered and spare us the soul-ripping sound of her cackling screech-hole.
Yeah, I like her that much.
On the other hand, Bernie Sanders is like Biden On Communist Steroids.
Pray for G-d to confound them all and cancel their evil assignations on America.
“Her biggest threat is Marge N. Overra......................”
Her best defense against that is Imogene A Rivotas.

Talk about 1968. The Tit Offensive.
I have always thought and still do that Hillary will not de the nominee after seeing how fast the ‘rats dumped her in 2008. She was inevitable then too.
I wouldn't count Fauxchahontas out yet ...
Are these states that voters could "cross over" in the primaries and send Madam Benghazi packing?

My bad Ingtar. I’m thinking this is what you were referring to. This article was written before the Phoenix Trump Rally.
They can always draft Ben Affleck....

Or George Clooney
That explains it. I thought it was an article from today.
The attempts to present a “horse race” between Clinton/Sanders/O’Malley/Biden is all a set-up.
Look for a deadlocked convention, followed by an acclimation from the platform for Michelle Obama as the candidate on a voice-vote.
CNN didn’t fall for Hillary bobbing her head like a bubble head - - while saying nothing?
Never thought I’d see a democrat so lame CNN didn’t buy their crap... this is amazing...
My few remaining democrat friends are Sanders supporters. Two of them assured me last year that the ticket would be Warren/Sanders. Since she is not running, they support Sanders. They all say no way to Hillary, she’s yesterday’s news and they have moved past her.
NH is a state that same day registration. So, to answer your question yes. I have personally seen people go in as an Independent or Undeclared, ask for a Democrat ballot and then change back to Undeclared after they vote.
IMHO, this is BU((CR#P. This was changed about ten/fifteen years ago because they said it would increase the voter participation rate in the primary. All it did was make the winner of both sides more middle of the road.
Hillary will never withdraw. The reason Sanders and Trump are getting attention is that primary voters are sick of these pols who believe they should be crowned as nominee.
Primary voters want and deserve vigorous debate on issues.
