Isnip)......I truly, honestly, and with all my heart and mind think Donald Trumps most ardent supporters are making a yuuuuuuge mistake. I think they are being conned and played. I feel like a guy whose brother is being taken advantage of by a grifter. Im watching helplessly as the con artist congratulates him for taking out a third mortgage......(snip)

Great point about Hunter. If FReepers wanted border security he was the perfect candidate.
Unfortunately they proved then that they just wanted a star and were just as nasty then about attacking anyone who had questions as they are now.
BTW Hunter was also exceptionally well versed in military/foreign and domestic policy.

“...but lets be honest, we have been fooled also by the ones who haven’t flip flopped but when they get to DC its a total different thing from them. They get all political correct and vote for things we did not send them there for”
Like the historic 2014 mid-term elections where the Republicans hit a home run running on repealing Obamacare then....(crickets)...

It's a gamble, it could backfire. It could also end the gradual merging of the GOP with the democrats.
Think about it, Jeb really isn't much different, or better, than Bernie.
Fact is, Bernie is probably the more honest of the two.

Dana Loesch summed it up perfectly. She stated: "Its easier for a party to make one guy the villain than it is to admit that his ascent shows how badly theyve screwed up all these years." Goldberg makes good points in this article, but he fails to address what you posted here from Loesch. I wish he would

Exactly, every Sunday talk show contestant said Trump is just a flash in the pan, he’ll be out by Thanksgiving. So don’t worry about it. Brit Hume, who is an expert on nothing, said he will self-destruct. There you have it! Nothing to see here, move along.

It's actually hilarious how both the RINO's, Progressives and Demonrats are trying to marginalize Trump, man I can not wait for the debates! I'm with you. Bring on the debates.
First up, the major crushing of Jeb, Marco and Christie... all in one steamroller session.
It will be like watching an extremely relevant session of Monster Trucks.

I remember one poster who attacked Chuck Yeager for endorsing Duncan Hunter by claiming that Chuck Yeager was known to be a cross dresser.

Your last sentence is what I'm thinking, or hoping. I doubt it's intentional on Trump's part, but Sen. Cruz seems to realize that having a major league bombast open some holes and prepare the ground ahead is helpful. Trump's taking flak from the squishy tremblers in the party that would otherwise be going in Cruz' direction. And the sight of those recent polls is shifting the whole conversation.
Of course, another effect of the Trump phenomenon is to distract attention from Hillary Clinton's missteps and felonies. And based on past political alliances of the Donald, that one could indeed be intentional.

Trump's 2012
5 point plan..."We can return America to her former greatness if we get tough and act smart.
- It starts with China and OPEC. The hundreds of billions of dollars they steal from us each year must end right away. That one action alone will result in a windfall to help us pay down our debt and meet our commitments.
- Next, we enforce a zero-tolerance policy for the kind of brainless government waste that we've all become far too accustomed to from Washington.
- We go after the criminals and con artists who are defrauding taxpayers of $243 billion every year in Medicare fraud and billions more in other kinds of fraud, such as the disability racket.
- We must save Social Security through economic success.
- We need to put Americans back to work and kick the community organizer out of office so we can instill some fiscal sanity in Washington.
We do those five things and we will pass along to our kids and grandkids not only a government they can afford, but also one they can be proud of."

Compare Trump and his defense of his remarks to Romney's walk-back of his 47% remark.Yup. One of the few things Romney got right, he then immediately turned around, stuck his tail between his legs and ran away like the little puppy dog he is.

With over 120 replies in this thread, it would suggest that your fellow FReepers arent done talking about this, eh? Scanning the thread, what it proves is how incredibly repetitive and redundant the anti-Trump contingent is. It's some sort of mania or fear. Same people saying the same things over and over. Boring. Say something positive about your preferred candidate.

Why doesnt Goldberg beg GOP candidates not to ignore the issues that concern GOP voters instead of begging GOP voters to ignore Trump. To me this is the Post of the Day.
The Post of the Week.
The Post of the Year... so far.
Answer the question, Jonah. Answer this question and your "intervention" might have some teeth in it.
