Sort of what I and several others here have been saying.

He’s sick of pretending that illegals are wonderful people.

Trump said illegals are fabulous and hard working.

He’s comparing Trump to Eliot Spitzer?

It might have started out that way, but I don’t think so. Anyone, and that means anyone, who runs for president has a big fat ego. You have to in order to convince people you should be the leader of the free world. To do this well in the polls, his ego is engaged to the point where he is not dropping out. He does not want to disappoint so many people.

I sure hope that happens. Trump has said thing that were way way to liberal for me.

Would be great if Cruz put him in charge of trade agreements and the wall. Or even budget reduction. But I dont trust Trump to follow the constitution like he should. Would be up to cruz to reign him in to following it.

I am not sure I agree that if trump would move out of the way to let Cruz become the nominee. Trump will likely go 3rd party which is why hillary’s camp is all too happy to help Jeb with his trump problem. Cruz is the best candidate but he has no momentum. He speaks well but only exciting to conservatives. Preaches to the choir. I am not sure he can reach the masses. He could learn some pointers from trump.

Ted Cruz has been meticulous in avoiding politically correct criticisms of Trump. That shows Cruz’ wisdom (and core political/policy beliefs) IMHO.

Trumps flipped flopped so much I don’t trust the guy, one day he’s a Democrat, the other a Republican...he’s an opportunist and for Trump before anything else. Will he move out of the way so Cruz can win? I wish, I don’t know if I see that happening with his ego. But if DT goes independent, say hello to Hillary!! DT helped give us Obamacare so I remain very cautious of him.

I don't give a damn what Trump has said or been in the past. He's out there NOW telling PC crippled, dumbed down Americans the truth!!

Illegal aliens from Mexico, South America and Muslim countries are flooding across our open border, raping, murdering and bankrupting our country! Trump is right; if you talk about it, you're racist. Absolutely surreal.
GO TRUMP!!!!!

It certainly IS hard to see how Trump could be setting up the pins for JEB to triumphantly ride in an grab the nomination. I mean, every Trump rally is a massive repudiation of Jeb and all the other Open Borders RINO’s.

I actually think that this is Trump’s plan. But he won’t be VP. He will get a much more powerful cabinet position instead.

Now, have they planned this out? I doubt it. But as consummate professionals, they both understand the dance/knife fight they are in against the left.

Trump is a pitch man telling the rubes what they want to hear..
AND is fully able to do as he pleases, once elected..
much like Barry Obama..

Cruz operates from his life long beliefs.. pretty simple really..

I certainly do not want any of what this author is smoking. If he thinks Cruz will benefit from a Trump flame out he’s crazy, all that happens if Trump flames out is that we will lose the amnesty battle. Even Cruz himself knows this and has been backing Trump on the illegal immigration issue. If you want to win the amnesty fight for better or worst Trump is the man doing the fighting, not Cruz, Trump.

Libtards like Katie Couric think Rubio's four traffic tickets are worse than Hillary's four corpses.

That Ted Cruz was born out of the country so he's not Article II eligible.

That Donald Trump suggesting those breaking the law to get here break the law when they are here is (gasp) so heartless.

Most of America knows the score.

Donald Trump is clearing out the row, showing how it's done.

Donald Trump has been doing things his way for years.

If Hillary has one unscripted moment with one unscreened questioner she'll melt like the Oz witch.

Ted Cruz has not and will not misstep--

nor shrink from doing the right thing,

articulating principle, politely deflecting all the libtard flak and chaff along the path--

to victory.
