I am not sure I agree that if trump would move out of the way to let Cruz become the nominee. Trump will likely go 3rd party which is why hillary’s camp is all too happy to help Jeb with his trump problem. Cruz is the best candidate but he has no momentum. He speaks well but only exciting to conservatives. Preaches to the choir. I am not sure he can reach the masses. He could learn some pointers from trump.
You’re right. I love Ted Cruz but something needs to change in his campaign for him to catch fire. The debates? A more fiery, populist message?
I disagree that Trump will go 3rd party. I also disagree with the posted article, that he’s going to “move over” for Cruz. I do think (and hope) that he and Cruz develop a good relationship and that if Trump is nominated (more of a possibility than many are willing to acknowledge at this point of time), that he chooses Cruz as his VP.
Trump will destroy Hillary in the general election. I’m not sure I could say that about anyone else. Certainly not any of the RINOs. Any one of them will go down in the biggest electoral defeat in history, including and especially Bush.
Unfortunately, I don’t believe Cruz can beat Hillary either, though I refuse to speculate whether he would also lose big. I’d like to think he’d do better than any of the RINOs... but it doesn’t matter, I just don’t see him pulling off a general election win. I am open to change on that idea, but that’s where I am right now.
A third party Trump run is the thing that will screw things up more than anything. It's pretty much what I've been expecting all along.
