President Obama announced on Friday that he was designating new national monuments covering more than a million acres in California, Texas and Nevada, his latest use of executive power to preserve public land.
The designations, made under the Antiquities Act of 1906, bring to 19 the number of national monuments that Mr. Obama has established or expanded. They cover more than 260 million acres of public lands and waters. Republicans have criticized Mr. Obama, who has turned to that law more than any other president, for his expansive use of his authority to preserve sites of ecological, historical or cultural significance.

[The federal government (Congress, not Obama) has power] to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings (USC Art I, Sec 8, Clause 17).
Constitutional questions to which EVERYBODY should be demanding answers from the feds: 1) wheres the permission of the states? 2) where are the needful buildings necessary for the operation of the federal government to defend our country in these places? 3) who gave POTUS this power? Not the Constitution? 4)What is the constitutional basis for the Antiquities Act of 1906?
STATES: fight back and dont let these tyrants have YOUR LAND!!! If you, the states want to protect these area, then with the consent of the representatives of the people of your state, make them into state parks.
NOTHING Obama does is not without the underlying purpose of establishing a Socialist State in place of YOUR free constitutional Republic. Hes cranking up his efforts. Lame Duck means nothing to this Community Organizer in Chief. Question EVERYTHING he does in light of the Constitution, the ONE THING that restricts his EVERY move as POTUS.
This is nothing new. Presidents have been doing this for a whilem
I hereby start a petition to declare as National Monuments, all of Washington DC, Manhattan and San Francisco!
They have contributed so much to our country, every current aspect should be preserved as they are now, and when current property owners pass on the property should revert to government ownership.
It’s only just!
Time to STOP IT. AND time to force the feds to GIVE BACK to the states land they have unconstitutionally kept or commandeered.

soon people will have to move into the cities right where the Democrats want them because there’s nowhere else to live
With Obama he likes the dictatorship like control and to show his middle finger to citizens.
One guy with a pen can take 260,000,000 acres out of the productive land in the US? Without the approval of the States involved?
Neither a good precedent to allow nor to allow to continue unchallenged.
Obama proves there is no Over Population, 19 times he steals empty land
FUBO
OH so ‘slob boy in the oval office’ and Reggie are having a mountain carved for them????? LMAO......
Obama National Reserve/Park/Whatever
Reminds me of the game show Jeopardy, with the answer coming BEFORE the question...

Follow the money. Or the Marxism.
What valuable resources have just been taken off the market, increasing the value of some Obama crony’s holdings elsewhere?
What strategic minerals have just been taken off the market, making the U.S. unable to compete with the Russians or Chinese?
Well that just rendered my timber property in Lake County worthless. 25 years of investment and maintenance. Saw this one coming. Interesting that the website is already up and running and very few knew about this. Pull up the map on the site and notice all the white parcels. Those are now rendered useless.
Yep.
