HBO has found its Clarence Thomas.

Treme and The Odd Couple's Wendell Pierce has been tapped to play the Supreme Court justice in Confirmation, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Confirmation, from HBO Films, details the explosive 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings (at which Anita Hill testified), that brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way people think about sexual harassment, victims' rights and modern-day race relations...

If it's "based on a true story", it would have to be about Kagan trying to hook up with other women.

I also read on FR a few months ago that Hollwood is planning some glowing biopic of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. They cast someone young and attractive to play her (Natalie Portman).

Imagine if the entertainment industry was this blatantly biased for conservatives. We'd get "Hero: The Rush Limbaugh Story" with Chris Hemsworth in the title role.

My personal inkling is, Kagan’s not a dyke, she’s the ugly girl who tries (and fails) to get the boys to like her by being “funny”.

Natalie Portman as RBG? That’s......wow. Not young Ruth Bader Ginsberg but old lady Ruth Bader Ginsberg as well?

Here’s what she looked like

Here’s my pick

I’d think a broomhandle with a wig on top would suffice to portray that old Communist lush.

I don’t agree that it’s not funny, it is funny. But the author is right that’s it’s not cool for homegirl to be drunk at the SOTU. She should be embarrassed. I imagine if Scalia had done it, he’d have castigated and screamed at to apologize to Obama.

It will be interesting to see how HBO whitewashes (are we still allowed to use that term?) the conduct of Biden, Kennedy, et al in this affair. I recall just being embarrassed by the whole thing....

LOL, I knew it would be a dude.

Oh look he played “Homeless Man God”, on “Joan of Arcadia”, and Lenny (God) in some show called “The Last Hand”, played God twice! And stared in a film called “The Outlaw Emmett Deemus and the Porno Queen” He’s clearly too high-brow to play her!

I know him from “Escape From Alcatraz”.

Trim his beard and he’s good to go.
