FULL TITLE >> Hillary denied the Bengahzi committee subpoenaed her, so Trey Gowdy shared her subpoena with the entire Internet
Hillary Clintons stunted, aloof interview with CNN on Tuesday was supposed to be an easy play for the presumed Democratic presidential nominee. Her interlocutor was known to be sympathetic, and Clinton indeed enjoyed plenty of softball questions that essentially asked her to finish sentences or fill in obvious blanks.
Still, Clinton managed either to lie (or to err) when she told CNNs Brianna Keilar that she had never been subpoenaed not in connection with Benghazi, not in connection with anything.
Heres a portion of the interview, transcribed by CNN:
KEILAR: One of the issues that has eroded some trust that weve seen is the issue of your email practices while you were secretary of state. I think theres a lot of people who dont understand what your thought process was on that.
Can you tell me the story of how you decided to delete 33,000 emails and how that deletion was executed?
CLINTON: Well, lets start from the beginning. Everything I did was permitted. There was no law. There was no regulation. There was nothing that did not give me the full authority to decide how I was going to communicate. Previous secretaries of state have said they did the same thing. And people across the government knew that I used one device maybe it was because I am not the most technically capable person and wanted to make it as easy as possible.
KEILAR: But you said they that they did the same thing, that they used a personal server and
KEILAR: subpoena deleted emails from them?
CLINTON: You know, youre starting with so many assumptions that are Ive never had a subpoena. There is again, lets take a deep breath here. Everything I did was permitted by law and regulation. I had one device. When I mailed anybody in the government, it would go into the government system.
Now I didnt have to turn over anything. I chose to turn over 55,000 pages because I wanted to go above and beyond what was expected of me because I knew the vast majority of everything that was official already was in the State Department system.
And now I think its kind of fun. People get a real-time behind-the-scenes look at what I was emailing about and what I was communicating about.
KEILAR: Wearing warm socks, you said to John Podesta.
Wasnt Hillarys cat named Socks?
Anyway, Clinton appears not to have learned much about how stubborn the Internet can be in revealing those truths that exist outside ones own sphere of influence.
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), who heads the House Select Committee on Benghazi, responded to Clintons subpoena denial Wednesday by doing something he could have done but had chosen not to all along: He shared her subpoena with the rest of the world.
In a press release, the Select Committee revisited its questioning of Clinton, who served as secretary of state in September 2012, when four Americans were killed in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
Heres the committees statement in its entirety:
The House Select Committee on Benghazi today released its March 4, 2015, subpoena to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in response to her inaccurate claim she had not been subpoenaed. The committee subpoenaed Clinton directly after it became aware of her exclusive use of personal email and a server and that the State Department was not the custodian of Clintons official record. The State Department failed to reveal this essential information to the Benghazi Committee or any other investigation into the Benghazi terrorist attacks until days before a media outlet was going to publish the information, meaning no investigation prior to the Benghazi Committees had access to the Secretary of States communications as part of its review.
The committee has issued several subpoenas, but I have not sought to make them public, said committee Chairman Trey Gowdy. I would not make this one public now, but after Secretary Clinton falsely claimed the committee did not subpoena her, I have no choice in order to correct the inaccuracy. The committee immediately subpoenaed Clinton personally after learning the full extent of her unusual email arrangement with herself, and would have done so earlier if the State Department or Clinton had been forthcoming that State did not maintain custody of her records and only Secretary Clinton herself had her records when Congress first requested them.
The fact remains, despite when this subpoena was issued, Secretary Clinton had a statutory duty to preserve records from her entire time in office, and she had a legal duty to cooperate with and tell the truth to congressional investigators requesting her records going back to September of 2012. Yet despite direct congressional inquiry, she refused to inform the public of her unusual email arrangement. This information only came to light because of a Select Committee request, not a voluntary decision to turn over records almost two years after leaving office, records which always should have been in States custody.
Moreover, the timing of the Secretarys decision to delete and attempt to permanently destroy emails is curious at best. The Secretary left office in February of 2013. By her own admission she did not delete or destroy emails until the fall of 2014, well after this Committee had been actively engaged in securing her emails from the Department of State. For 20 months, it was not too burdensome or cumbersome for the Secretary to house records on her personal server but mysteriously in the fall of 2014 she decided to delete and attempt to permanently destroy those same records.
And heres a link to the actual subpoena. Its dated March 4 of this year.

Good catch! You can’t blame her for being a horrible liar.. Sad that so many in this country believe everything the witch says.

thanx
Except she plays both parts.....lol.
Thing is no one catches it, or if they do they are so confused by her speak, they don't dare embarrass her or themselves, after all she is the smartest/dumbest broad in the world.
Obama has this same mode of speak. It must be in the training book for Democrats. That way they can always deny and get by with it.
I didn't say THAT, I said THIS, well yeah, right after you said THAT.
I'm getting a headache.
