I believe Jesus would, Carter said when asked whether Jesus would approve of gay marriage. I dont have any verse in scripture ... I believe that Jesus would approve gay marriage, but that's just my own personal belief. I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else, and I don't see that gay marriage damages anyone else."
Carter, a born-again Christian and Baptist, said he still teaches Sunday school whenever he attends his home church. He. said he has never ran across any really serious conflicts between his political obligations and his religious faith.

Go ahead, flame away.
Course he never read Romans 1. Or much else, I reckon. Like a dog to his vomit.
Carter must have gone totally CRAZY to say something so stupid.
Nope he is just letting his hair down and saying what most libtards think.
Appears he’s been off his meds for a long time.
yep
I believe Jesus would heal the homosexual of their affliction. It would be the most merciful thing to do.
I can’t stand anything that guy says. Has he ever been right about anything?
Putting words in Jesus mouth? Next he will be the second worst President ever, oh wait.....
He left office on time. That might be the one thing he got right.
Well, Jimmah, I beleive you are nuts...
he should run for his second term against bernie and hillary.....
Know what? Ever since the prime interest rate rose to 21% under his leadership, I don’t give a rat’s ass what Jimmy has to say about anything.
There must be a spirit of deception that gets stronger just prior to the Antichrist being revealed.
We’re late in the 11th-hour, it seems.

Well, Jesus did instruct the woman taken in adultery to go and sin no more.
But of course it isn’t sin if it is honest and sincere, is it?
Well, that would be the Federal Reserve — not that I’m excusing Jimmy.
Good thing they haven’t made any mistakes lately.
Oh, wait....
To borrow a meme from the Progs: if the cultural acceptance of homosexuality causes one confused teen to “try it to see if he likes it”, then it has causes irreparable harm.
So, put it back in the closet “for da chilluns.”
I dont have any verse in scriptureWell, that is because there is none. Should have stuck with Bible study rather than Manifesto study.
I believe he is part of he American Baptist church....the smae group that purged the Air Force chaplain corps of Christians
It’s the same problem with Tony Campolo’s blog. You use your own reason and your own definitions of things to determine how God should thing rather than basing your position on Scripture.
All of the arguments I’ve heard supporting gay marriage from evangelicals actually ignore what Biblical marriage is. They seem to have this Cindarella definition or something. But they forget some clear points.
There’s no proof that marriage makes you happy and no Biblical suggestion that people get married to be happy. There’s also no proof that single people are sentenced to being unhappy and no Biblical suggestion that single people can’t be happy.
People have very close relationships without being erotically involved and the Bible clearly encourages close, loving relationships between two people of the same sex without enouraging erotic activity between the two.
Finally, the Bible categorically denies that your worth comes from approval of men. Your worth comes from the fact that you were created by God and His approval is the only approval that matters.
I don’t get why this is all so hard for Christians to see.
