I feel the need to add my 2 cents worth to Friday's Supreme Court decision on gay marriage.
Here's what the Supreme Court could have and should have done.
The vote should have been 9-0 and the opinion should have been very short. It should have said something like this:
"While tempting to give in to his tidal wave of opinion in this country and be heroes, there are areas in which government must not tread; this is certainly one of them.
"To overturn 6,000 years of recorded history is far beyond this scope of this, or any, man-made institution.
"Therefore, we overturn nothing and recommend that each of the 50 states work on versions of civil unions for same-sex couples -- if they so choose."
This would have not pleased the LGBT community, of course, but it would have made those of us who still think we should follow the Constitution very happy.
In the words of Psalm 33:12, Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
If this is true, then the opposite is certainly true as well.
The Supreme Court did not do the right thing, of course; as a result, it's my guess that we're going to see the consequences of this poisonous decision -- intended and unintended -- seep into every area of life in this country: social, moral, spiritual, financial and every other one you can think of.
My cats are already acting a little funny.
Succinct and quite accurate.
Thx for posting this.
‘Pod.
Well, that’s because they are cats and that’s what cats do.
It’s too bad that two of the SC judges have performed gay marriages, and one is OPENLY a faggot.
Conflict of interest, so the vote is “really” 3-4 against. But who’s considering the law in the age of insanity?
Nice!
JB, nothing is “settled” until it is settled in favor of leftists. It’s okay for the extremist left to agitate for change, until it occurs to their benefit, then all resistance must cease. If they don’t like how things are currently settled, they can bluster until things go their way, but they begrudge you the ability to resist and agitate for normalcy. Sadly, the leftist core on the SC is there because they are a reliable bloc of useful idiots. To the left, it is only for conservatives to move toward the left, never the other way.
Just read your little affair with Larry Craig and it seems to be a lot of words about nothing. Ignore private behavior? I think we should ignore red herrings.
secular sharia from the Sharia Court of the US
First of all, there is no such thing as homosexual "marriage," since marriage involves procreation. Procreation and the lifelong unity of the spouses constitutes marriage.
The term "marriage," when referring to homosexual partnerships should be rejected up front as a logical impossibility.
Secondly, the Left has controlled the debate by ignoring the rights of children, just as they do with regard to abortion. "Homosexuals have a right to get married." "Women have a right to control their own bodies."
But what about a child's right to life, and his right to be raised by his natural parents?
If anyone tells you that they are pro-homosexual "marriage," ask them the following question.
"Would you want to have been raised by two homosexual male STRANGERS?"
Of course they will answer, "Sure, I wouldn't care."
But they won't sleep that night.
Sounds about right. In NB’s time that would have been worth a nickel.
I made up a new word that I talk about on every other thread:
we have monogamy, polygamy and now Homogamy.
“The Supreme Court did not do the right thing, of course; as a result, it’s my guess that we’re going to see the consequences of this poisonous decision — intended and unintended — seep into every area of life in this country: social, moral, spiritual, financial and every other one you can think of.”
Funny that I thought he was kissing Islamists Butts all this time. Now I see he is throwing it in the faces of MILLIONS of potential murdering thugs who want to ‘visit’ our country.WADA sneaky fella !....OH.Wait a minute..that is brilliant planning on his part..is it not?
hat is brilliant planning on his part..is it not?
That RAINBOW White House....
Some gay’s don’t like the new law... They don’t feel special anymore.. They complain about straights coming into their space.. Like bars and coffee shops... They want to be different.. Soon they will have nothing left to complain about.
Actually, you make a good point, these decisions
only reinforce Islamist experience of the west
as godless infidels, continuing to support their
vision of others as less than human.
I’m going to invest in stock of the company who makes the Cornhole game.
Christians and those in favor of and support of the traditions of family and our culture should create for US a higher category of Marriage.
A category that would exclude the fags.
The states SHOULD create this category to the exclusion of same-sex marriages.
If only for clarity.
