Six are the Chief, Kennedy, Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan.
Which is why this law will NEVER be overturned. The GOP went wobbly just thinking about how to deal with the loss of subsidies. Can you imagine how fast they would run away from a full repeal?
The States & the People are attacked by them.
I propose this as our Battle Flag
The majority of members of the upper and lower peoples' houses are neutralized, infiltrated, treacherous, corrupt, greedy, treasonous, dishonest, lazy, or cowardly, or all of the above......and U.S. senators and representatives are kept busy and impotent tilting at windmills, at each other, mouthing promises and platitudes to their sucker constituencies......while wildly attacking empty air as America burns.
We are now ruled by, and in the thrall of, less than 200 evil despots and opportunists who exercise complete control over our dying Republic.

The Court has given Obama well-nigh infinite "flexibility" in implementation. The next President needs to take full advantage of that. On Day 1, he should announce the availability on the federal exchange of a catastrophic care package stripped of all the problematic Obamacare mandated benefits, funded through a medical savings account, with premiums adjusted in ways that encourage responsible behavior.
In other words, build an escape hatch out of community rating, guaranteed issue, and all of the interest group pandering mandated benefits. The President should then waive all portions of the ACA that impede rollout of this plan, using Obama's many waivers as a precedent. Roll it out, and allow people to vote with their feet. And ask Congress to codify the changes in the next reconciliation bill.
Obamacare would become a highly rationed Medicaid-plus for those who want to remain in it, but everyone else would get out.
Social Security reform could work much the same way. Just open the door to voluntary participation in a private owned investment accounts, and everyone under the age of 40 and brighter than a cabbage would opt out very quickly.
Do these things early in the next term so that people are accustomed to them by the next election. They are good policy, and will be winners politically once the reality pierces through the democrats' inevitable scare campaigns.
exactly
Boehner, McConnel and the rest of the GOPe view Obama as their Comrade
Boehner, McConnel and the rest of the GOPe loathe Conservatives.
Dark times lie ahead.
did anyone think it would go otherwise? if so, they’ve been asleep.
same with the homo ‘marriage’ cluster.
zer0 knows the nsa
the nsa has all it needs on roberts
Not even close to the same.
They gave 0 his way and legitimized 0care. But even though they made it the law of the land with a bastardized decision brought about by political prostitution, they can’t make it work and they can’t pay for it. And after the system crashes and we come for their skins and their children’s skins, they will find that the moon will not be far enough away to suit them. Decisions have consequences.
Can someone recommend a good book on resistance? Hopefully something modern for today's age. I'm not quite ready for consulting the Darknet ... yet (although one day we may all be driven there).
You’re right
I am not surprised at all. I sense that a few Republicans know that the party itself is dying and that in time it will go by the wayside.
These two Supreme Court rulings on Obamacare are far more harmful than Obamacare itself.
While the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will stifle medical advancement to such an extent that medical research may for all practical purposes grind to a halt (or more accurately, focus only on controlling costs and not on saving or improving lives), that damage is limited to only one aspect of our lives.
The precedent that the federal government has the authority to order us to engage in commerce against our will is far worse. We must buy an unwanted product (clearly unwanted, or purchase would not need to be mandatory) at the price set by the private entities in our state, whether or not we want that product, not as a condition of driving on state roads but as a condition of breathing. This is a horrendous precedent for everyone who does not engage in crony capitalism. Freedom is dead.
It gets worse. Under the first Obamacare Supreme Court opinion, Obamacare is a tax despite the clear and unanimous declaration by supporters that it is not a tax and the absence of any indication in the statute that it was intended to be a tax. Under the second Obamacare Supreme Court opinion, Exchange established by the State means Exchange established by the State or the Federal Government, an absurd and illogical construction. The rule of law is dead.
Essentially, we are no longer a constitutional republic with limited government. We now have a king, and the king has almost unlimited unilateral power to make or repeal law by decree or equivalently by issuing regulations.
To put it mildly, I am now beyond the point where I was worried about Americas survival as a free country, and I will now structure my life under the assumption that the free country I knew no longer exists in any meaningful sense.
Shopping list: gold, silver, lead, brass, food, medicine, soap, . . .
They have planted the seeds for a future rebellion down the road.
I’m cool with that.
That is a good point. His secret should be revealed so he is no longer vulnerable to blackmail. We are facing pure evil, and Obama's supporters must be stopped. I'm sure someone on FR has the necessary skills. Where is today's Buckbeak?
You are right on! Three Constitutionalists and a thank you to them.
