Leaders of the Catholic Church in America took their marching orders from the Popes encyclical on Thursday, fanning out to Congress and the White House to push for action on climate change.
The high-level meetings offered a first glimpse of a vast and highly organised effort by the leadership of Americas nearly 80 million Catholics to turn the Popes moral call for action into reality.
It is our marching orders for advocacy, Joseph Kurtz, the president of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Archbishop of Louisville, said. It really brings about a new urgency for us.

For all intents and purposes, Latin was the ONLY written language at the time of St. Malachy (the Magna Carta was written less than a century later in perfect medieval Latin); however, by 1590 the use of medieval Latin was almost non-existent.
It does not seem likely that the Catholic Church will be ever persecuted. This might have been seen as a possibility in 1590, but today we know better. Organizations are better subverted from the inside. That's what we are witnessing - not only in Vatican, but also in Washington.
The Catholic Church, and orthodox Christianity in general, are facing worldwide persecution as we speak. Look at what has been done worldwide to the institution of marriage just in the last ten years. More than one million babies are slaughtered worldwide in abortuaries each year. I would say that Christianity is more persecuted today than it has been at any time since the Edict of Milan was issued seventeen centuries ago.
Certainly in 1590 the Catholic Church was worried about losing territories and their inhabitants to Protestantism. There were brutal and unnecessary religious wars throughout that era with more than enough blame for all sides. However, Christianity was NEVER in danger during that period.
It most certainly does.
Both the Old and the New Testaments make it clear that Mary was conceived without sin, bore her son without loss of her virginity, remained a virgin forever, and was assumed body and soul into heaven.
Your reading of both the Old and New Testaments has been too superficial for you to notice.
Please show where the assumption of Mary is taught in scripture. Also please show the apostles teaching the need to believe that she was assumed into heaven.
That is what we’re reduced to; I’ve worked with people that are downright evil - but as long as they recycle their Diet Sprite cans they think they’re square with God. I’ll leave that to God to judge...
Mark 3:31 Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside they sent to Him, calling Him. 32 And a multitude was sitting around Him; and they said to Him, Look, Your mother and Your brothers[e] are outside seeking You.
33 But He answered them, saying, Who is My mother, or My brothers? 34 And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, Here are My mother and My brothers! 35 For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.
Luke 11: 27 And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!
28 But He said, More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!
Matt 1: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

You have collected some popular proof-texts. You haven’t read and pondered much of what the Old and the New Testaments both teach about Mary. The book of Revelation says that she is the mother of all who believe in Christ. Do you accept Mary as your mother?
No it doesn't.
Do you accept Mary as your mother?
No.
Get the book BEHOLD YOUR MOTHER, by Tim Staples.
Once you have read that book, get back to me about whether there really are “zero” verses that teach that Mary is without sin, that she was assumed into heaven, etc.
If you DON’T get that book, then you will be choosing to live the rest of your life being eaten alive by the guilty secret that you didn’t have the courage or intellectual honesty to investigate any further.
"If you don't accept my offer you will be the most wicked girl and the angels will weep for you" My Fair Lady
I've seen how the RCC takes "You are Peter and on this rock..." and invents the whole unbiblical institution of the Pope so I'll pass on further verse mangling, tyvm.
Jer 7:18 The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.
US Catholics ready to follow Pope’s ‘marching orders’ on climate change................
Right off a cliff
If you can show how Tim Staples mangles Scripture, you will have the most up-to-date ammunition against Catholics you could ask for. His book does not retrace the same-old same-old turf.
Nevertheless, regardless of any excuses you may create, you WILL have to live with the knowledge that you backed away, rather than investigating. The angels WILL weep for you.
The Ark of the Covenant is a type of Mary, because it contained the Bread from Heaven, the Ten Commandments, and the rod of Aaron—all types of Christ. The Ark was untouchable by any man.
Four men are referred to in the Gospels as “brothers” of Jesus. Case closed, say the proof-texting Protestants. They fail to notice that the parents of THREE out of the four are named elsewhere in the New Testament—and they are people OTHER than Mary and Joseph.
In the Book of Revelation, Mary is in heaven, body and soul. She is called the mother of all who believe in Jesus and follow the Commandments. Do you accept the teaching of the Bible that Mary is your mother?
We have tombs and relics of all the apostles, and TWO tombs of Mary. But no relics of Mary. Why not?
At the Annunciation, Mary gives her consent to become the mother of God, thus bringing the Word and all graces into the world. Do you accept the teaching of the Gospel that Mary brings the Word of God, and thus all graces, into the world?
At the wedding feast at Cana, Mary intercedes with her Son on behalf of the hosts. He does as she asks. As a direct result of His miracle, the disciples begin to believe. Do you accept the teaching of the Gospel that Mary intercedes with Jesus, and thus plays a role in bringing to birth the faith of those who believe in Jesus?
I know this is pointless but the Ark is a picture of the Trinity. Law = Father, Bread = Son, Rod = Holy Spirit. We also know: Col 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
We also know that He tells to look for Him in prophesy not for Mary which is why He takes away the whole Catholic dogma of "blessed are you among women" with His "Blessed rather".
So let me ax you this. Do you believe in The Lord Jesus Christ?
Directly??
Or thru the 'church'?
Are they QUALIFIED to do so?
or from a saint?
Is that anything like Hoosier?
Bull!
It's been over fourty years and 57 MILLION deaths and how many has Rome 'saved'???
