‘The water table is dropping all over the world’: NASA warns we’re on the path to global drought
National Post ^ | June 17, 2015 | Todd C. Frankel, The Washington Post

Drought-stricken California is not the only place draining underground aquifers in the hunt for fresh water.

It’s happening across the world, according to two new studies by U.S. researchers released Tuesday.

---snip---

......groundwater reserves take thousands of years to accumulate and only slowly recharge with water from snowmelt and rains. Now, as drilling for water has taken off across the globe, the hidden water reservoirs are being stressed. Underground aquifers supply 35 percent of the water used by humans worldwide. Demand is even greater in times of drought. Rain-starved California is currently tapping aquifers for 60 percent of its water use, up from the usual 40 percent....

“The EPA will now want a new definition for “Navigable Waterways”... to include “Navigable Underground Waterways”

Navigable here defined as navigable by a paramecium.

Water dissolving...and water removing.

There is water at the bottom of the ocean.

Under the water, carry the water at the bottom of the ocean.

Remove the water at the bottom of the ocean.

I guess I picked a bad time to bring a natural spring back to life to feed my duck pond and shoot a water stream 20’ into the air every 20 minutes for as much as a minute.

I have an idea for you Californians: Ship every other illegal back across the border and then tell us how you’re doing.

I know..... I am heartless.

Heavy, heavy rains this spring here in southern CT. Haven’t had to water the garden yet because it’s so saturated. I have a private well and virtually unlimited water. If people in parched CA want to run a pipe out to me, I’d be happy to send some of this water down to you all.

Honest title: Government Employees More Self-Absorbed by the Year

Only because they live in dry places,... It’s also been flooding in other parts of the world. Wiser, harder working Midwesterners on the east side of Kansas will now ramp up vegetable farming and sell to the West. Use the proceeds to develop political influence.

The oceans are not evaporating. That is the problem. They are cooling. We are in a global cooling cycle. NASA is 180 degrees wrong as usual. They need to focus on what they know best. Uranus.

The table has dropped all along the Mississippi River states. For years farmers have been growing rice and now the water isn’t fit to drink. When I was a kid in the hot Delta heat nothing tasted better than that cold drink of water from a rice well. Now it stinks.

BS! A few years of abundant rainfall will fix a multitude of problems. We’re seeing this right now in TX.

Not on a mass scale for the public or it would have been done already. Israel is likely the best country for having that process down pat and using it.

If it were easy, California, even with their fruits and nuts, would have done it already.

Could this have something to do with Agenda 21? No more home building because there’s no water. Put ‘em all in city apartments except for the Mexicans. They’ll keep living like they do now and keep picking the fruit and vegetables.

I used to live in EC Illinois. How’s the taxes these days?

I live in Tazewell County. My real estate taxes are almost exactly the same as when I moved here 23 years ago.

I have turned 65 while living here and get a discount for that, also Illinois still has no income tax on retirement income, so overall I can't complain about local taxes.

#4 My sister in Robbinsdale was complaining about the grass growing quicker as well. Accuweather shows 6 out of 14 days they will have rain there. The local weather channels said that Minnesota was in drought conditions but had to change their tune as it has rained alot. You know the land of 10,000 freaking lakes! (actually around 17,000) plus rivers, creeks, ponds. Yep all dried out. People can see all the water yet still they insisted the state was in drought....

The lies the democrats tell.
