‘The water table is dropping all over the world’: NASA warns we’re on the path to global drought
National Post ^ | June 17, 2015 | Todd C. Frankel, The Washington Post

Drought-stricken California is not the only place draining underground aquifers in the hunt for fresh water.

It’s happening across the world, according to two new studies by U.S. researchers released Tuesday.

---snip---

......groundwater reserves take thousands of years to accumulate and only slowly recharge with water from snowmelt and rains. Now, as drilling for water has taken off across the globe, the hidden water reservoirs are being stressed. Underground aquifers supply 35 percent of the water used by humans worldwide. Demand is even greater in times of drought. Rain-starved California is currently tapping aquifers for 60 percent of its water use, up from the usual 40 percent....

Our “block” is saturated. Anything that falls down now flows out within a day into the storm sewer.

Now why would I even consider some report written by a “turd” left by Hansen at NASA ... (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) ... I thought that dominion of lies belonged to NOAA.

This could have been Sam Kinnison’s finest hour. I almost lost a kidney the first time I heard his “This is sand” bit.

Well, maybe not ALL over the world.
Mine is up about 20 feet from 6 years ago when I first had the well drilled..

And I live in the arid southwest.

I reckon we better start saving it now, then.

What with this drought coming, and all.

Its Gods earth that He created and only He can destroy. True— mankind can damage it a bit in spots but no way puny humans can affect it on a grand scale. The godless leftists don’t factor this into their irrational equations.

Water tables refer to water taken from the ground, this is a legit concert, there was a Japanese study estimating that 40% of the rise in ocean levels was from water pumped out of the ground going into the ocean.

Just because AGW is a scam doesn’t mean that there are never any problems.

“Explain this to people in the Houston area....”

And, in the greater Dallas area - Dallas County, Denton County, other counties in this area. Our local lake, Lewisville Lake, has dumped numerous millions of gallons in the Trinity River and that river has flooded down stream through central Texas to San Antonio/Austin with multi millions of more gallons added in along the way.

Here at my house, today, we got 3 1/2 inches from Bill, the tropical depression. Yesterday, 2 inches from Bill. This area is overrun with water, houses destroyed, people plucked out of flood water for the last month, before Bill. All lakes in the area were full and flooding before Bill.

A guy who has lived here for 30 years has not seen this kind of rain in this area. Our drought for years is gone.

Hmmm. Water tables are dropping, while the Arctic and Antarctic ice is at near record levels and continuing to grow daily.

Connection?

I’m predicting they’ll be talking about great lake levels rising by the end of summer.

*Ahem*

Someone is late to the party.

This is the third straight year of major Great Lakes rising. They rose a full foot from last year to this, and are continuing to do so. They are now well above the median level since they started keeping records a couple of hundred years ago.

It's well known, reported all over the Lakes regions, and even the gubmint engineer corps hasn't tried to hide it. You should see my neighbors ex deck that was so nice being so close to the lake.......

What they will hide is the global warming models predicting the lakes would never rise to this level again, they thought the level of the lakes would recede in perpetuity.

“H2O is H2O.”

Can’t drink ocean water. It’s H2O plus too much salt; you will die if you try to exist on it without having a way to remove the salt.

AGW is a scam (with the A standing for Anthropomorphic).

Climate change is real. There’s PLENTY of evidence for this in The Bible, whether one believes in the religious aspects of The Bible or not.

A common characteristic of liberals is that you either agree with them or you are a dirty, rotten, baby seal killing, cadmium dumping, plutonium spewing evil nemesis. There is no middle ground - on any issue.

Most true conservatives don’t like to see waste of any kind, and want their children and future people to have at least as good of a life as they did. Pollution and profligate spoiling of the planet is IMO an offense to true conservatives. It is absolutely possible to disagree with man-made global warming AND be against pollution and waste and unsustainable living at the same time.

The EPA will now want a new definition for “Navigable Waterways”... to include “Navigable Underground Waterways”.

GOOD maybe they will be forced to convert seawater.. en masse..

Super efficient Nuke site exactly for that purpose.. for making water.. and maybe hydrogen and oxygen.. as by products.. plus other chemicals..

“So, higher or lower? “

Yes. That is why it is now Climate Change, not Global Warming on the liberal agenda. All documents (including historical documents) have been modified. Get with the program.
