An Oklahoma teenager charged with killing an Australian college baseball player has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
District Court judge Ken Graham on Tuesday handed down the punishment to 18-year-old Chancey Allen Luna. A jury had convicted Luna of first-degree murder in shooting death of 22-year-old Christopher Lane.
Lane was shot in the back while he was jogging in Duncan. Defense attorneys say Luna fired the shot, but only meant to scare Lane.

For most of us in OK, LWOP means exactly that. The prison reform group goes around making noises about overcrowding and oversentencing and who are we mad at vs. who are we scared of. I had a discussion with a person that’s still in the system under probation/suspended sentence making me out as the bad guy for telling him I didn’t need a felon volunteering for a community event. He got mad but I stood my ground.
Life without parole? Should have been the needle.
They shot the young man ‘because they were bored’.

I always get a kick out of “leftist math”.....the only real additional costs are his food and prison duds. The jail’s already built, the jailers are already on salary and so on.
