California Water Cuts Leave City Days Away From Running Out Of Water

MOUNTAIN HOUSE (CBS13) — The community of Mountain House is days away from having no water at all after the state cut off its only water source.

Anthony Gordon saves drinking water just in case, even though he never thought it would come to this.

“My wife thinks I’m nuts. I have like 500 gallons of drinking water stored in my home,” he said.

The upscale community of Mountain House, west of Tracy, is days away from having no water. It’s not just about lawns—there may not be a drop for the 15,000 residents to drink.

“We’re out there looking for water supplies as we speak,” said Mountain House general manager Ed Pattison. “We have storage tanks, but those are basically just to ensure the correct pressurization of the distribution system. No more than 2 days are in those storage tanks.”

The community’s sole source of water, the Byron-Bethany Irrigation District, was one of 114 senior water rights holders cut off by a curtailment notice from the state on Friday.

Meanwhile the state and the feds are undertaking a very ambitious project to restore natural salmon runs in the San Joaquin river.

When I was a young kid of 6 I can remember seeing the salmon runs on the Tuolumne River, a tributary to the San Joaquin. It's also the source for Hetch Hetchy dam which provides water to San Francisco...exclusively.

The water would run RED. 100's of thousands if not millions of 6-10lb fish.

But those days are over and have be3en for AT LEAST 40 years.

That water is now being diverted to flow out into the Bay in the minute hope against hope that salmon can survive from plants.

We don't have that much water.

San Francisco takes it all at Hetch Hetchy.

Better have some weapons, too, as everyone now knows you have water.

Those rivers are where the town in question would get their water if they had not been cut off from the state.

And, they have SENIOR RIGHTS.

If Cali deported all of its illegals it’d probably have plenty of water to weather this.

Besides, best not for us to gloat. If it gets really bad they’ll start leaving there and coming to where we live.

California Water Cuts Leave City Days Away From Running Out Of Water

Better invite in twenty or thirty million new illegals, that will help.

I would think the current water shortage would halt development. Those of you in Cali, is that what you’re seeing?

BBID serves over 160 agricultural customers; who provide their crops for food deliveries to: Whole Foods, Safeway, Von's, Save Mart Supermarket, Lucky's, FoodMaxx, Albertson's, FredMeyer, Kroger, Raley's and Fischer Nut Co. and more.

Nearly 30,000 acres of a variety of different crops including almonds, apples, bell peppers, beans, cherries, corn, cotton, grapes, tomatoes, strawberries, walnuts, alfalfa, oats, sudan and more

Potential loss of millions of dollars in crops, and even more in related business losses

Potential job loss, and related economic impact

Another 30,000 acres out of production and 15,000 people without a water supply.

And it's only June.

The dems who run Cali must be loving this. Total control of the most basic of needs is in the palm of their hands. Meanwhile, Moonbeam still gets his bullet trains.

Maybe they can use public transgender transportation railways to haul water from undeserving water rich states to California.

Why aren’t the California rich, sending water trucks to the water needy, and the farmers?

Drought Farm Aid.

regarding Eleanor Clift and her private parts, recall if you will her tryst on the sidewalk with Bill Clinton outside the Democrat Convention in 1968.

In addition to a scratched and bleeding butt, he left her all tangled inside. She has never gotten over that quickie encounter. He never offered her his service again

There’s a new career for you somewhere in this. Either a writer of lefty romance novels or perhaps a retro Shades of Gray genre.

Keep up the good work. The world needs to know these things.
