Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)93% is calling on Republicans in the Houseand the grassroots nationwideto oppose efforts by House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58% to revive Obamatrade via a tax increase hidden inside the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) portion of the deal.
Paul said when asked to react to an article from Breitbart News from late Sunday evening exposing the tax increase in the deal:
"You know typically to pass these kinds of things, the establishment will try to buy off Democrats by sprinkling money so they have some money in there. To get the money, under our budget rules, we have to pay for itso they want to pay for it with a fine on small businesses...So I think when people discover theyre sticking a tax increase in there I think people will be even more unhappy."
Paul said he recommends all Republicans vote against TAA when Ryan and House GOP leadership bring it back up on Tuesday for an attempt to revive it after it embarrassingly failed 302-126...
...
Paul said he expects the issue of Obamatrade to be a big deal on the 2016 campaign trail. Its already separated the field as Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and more oppose it. Sens. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)93% , Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)47% (R-FL)and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushamong others support it.
Everywhere I go, people come up to me and say thank you for not giving the president more power thank you for voting against TPA, Paul said. So I think it does resonate with people, and well see how these things shake out, but it fits my message..."

The Paul bot liberaltarians have been trolling a lot on here about Cruz. We see the usual names and they know who they are too.
LOL what great domestic points>? Like homosexual marriage, getting rid of laws which in prison blacks mostly, or what about reduce spending on the military, how about abortion.
His foreign policy is more like to Obama’s which has been a failure, Ignoring the world and reducing our military is a failure.
Some of us think that his pro-choice views and anti-social conservative crusade for the GOP, makes him unacceptable.
It was a typo. Early morning posting. His foreign policy would not work at all.
That is why I said no offense to Paul supporters.
He has been extremely obvious. He opposes TPA and TPP.
Hmmm. Now who is being obvious?
Sorry 2DV. This isn’t a Ted Cruz website. There are many conservatives, and I’m one of them, who view so called free trade as a dealbreaker.
THEN DON’T VOTE FOR HIM! I hear Mike Huckabee is making some fried squirrel. Hurry on over and grab you some...
After you. Too greasy.
Sorry. You’’ve been a FReeper long enough to know how it works. You want to shill for “X” candidate, expect to catch some flack.
Especially if X candidate is a globalist shill.
Well, when I get behind a “globalist shill” like Mitt Romney, any random Bush, Krispy Kreme or Pataki, I’ll expect that flak. As it is, I support the most conservative candidate in the race.
Obviously there is disagreement over what the word “conservative” means. Myself and several others don’t think it includes obamatrade, amnesty, the h1b visa program or the patriot act II. Others think it includes some or all of those. Neither side looks to be backing down, so I guess we’ll get to argue it out for a spell.
In the end, I don’t think it’ll matter worth a hill of beans. We’ll get obamatrade, amnesty, the h1b visa program, patriot act 3, 4, and 5 and a general tax hike. Its just what the uniparty is and what it does. The silver lining, to the extent that there is any, is that fewer people will think its worth their time to cast a meaningless ballot. And it will be very amusing to watch “conservatives” contort themselves and try to sell a sh** sandwich as filet mignon because their beloved candidates says that’s what it is.
President Reagan signed an amnesty and as governor an abortion bill, so what would you have called him?
“Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)93% , Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)47% (R-FL)and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushamong others support it. “
No surprise that Cruz supports this Trojan Horse ... since his wife is a Goldman Sachs top exec in Houston. But, hey, “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.” Gotta keep the corrupt K-Street-Wall Street revolving door to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue wide open. Gotta make sure the global governance agenda stays on track ... 93% conservative rating - with 7 % really really bad sh*t that is guaranteed to put the last nail in the coffin of this once great republic ... but y’all go ahead and buy the snake oil.
Excerpts from the Daily Signal (Heritage Foundation), as posted by Bryan Riley:

“There are also non-trade-related parts of the bill that should alarm conservatives. It urges respect for internationally recognized human rights, which for the United Nations and most countries includes international covenants like the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, neither of which has been ratified by the United States.
Even more concerning, passage of TPA has been linked to a Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program that promotes the myth that trade destroys jobs. As Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., put it TAA has always been an absolute admission to me that there is going to be lots of lost jobs. ...
... Although TPA allows Congress to spell out negotiating objectives, the amount of leeway it gives the president means that who the president is matters. And a president who has pledged to negotiate the most progressive trade deal the world has ever seen is clearly interested in ensuring that new deals advance major parts of his progressive agenda, including new multinational labor and environmental regulations and the injection of minimum wage guidelines into trade agreements for the first time in U.S. history.
Some of TPAs most outspoken opponents, particularly from the left, rely on protectionist rhetoric, but it is possible to question the TPA process without questioning the benefits of trade.”

I have a question for you related but off-topic. Just want to see if there is any contextual logic to your thinking.
Suppose 2 people each have a handgun. Each holds their gun in their hand.
One person is a convict and is known to be criminally inclined and violent.
The other is a pillar of the community, a supporter of the rule of law and the Constitution.
Here’s the question: should these two persons be barred from having their guns in their hands out in the open? Should only one be barred?

Heidi Cruz ia a manager, an employee. She is a one of more than 33,000 employees at GS.
GS offers careers to ambitious and driven young people with the right credentials:
https://www.linkedin.com/company/goldman-sachs/careers?trk=top_nav_careers
Enron was also a great place to work (it really was).
And Harvard Business School which Heidi attended is still in the top ranks and churns out people every year that join GS and other Wall St firms.
CFR is a huge organization with a lot of conservatives but also a lot of one-world progressive socialists.
“Keep in mind, the CFR as a whole is not made up of secret conspirators. Its membership list is available to the public. Most CFR members are not involved in a conspiracy, wrote Anthony C. Sutton and have no knowledge of any conspiracy. However, there is a GROUP WITHIN the Council on Foreign Relations which belongs to a secret society, sworn to secrecy, and which more or less controls the CFR. CFR meetings are used for their own purposes, i.e., to push out ideas, to weigh up people who might be useful, to use meetings as a form for discussion.[7] “
A lot of young ambitious people start out reaching for the top in finance and politics. They’re smart but inexperienced. As they grow older they tend to see their own sense of principles and morals emerge and they become more conservative as a result. Conservative ideology for many Conservatives is an acquired taste.
There are many very smart conservatives that have risen to the top via Wall St., via political paths, via Hollywood. Along the way they met and spoke to many liberals and progressives. In meeting these people they became familiar with the defects, deception and duplicity of their liberal progressive contacts.
Ronald Reagan is a prime example.
Ted Cruz is not a one-worlder, nor is he a Bilderberg or a RINO masquerading as a Conservative. And neither is his wife.
And this is known because of his track record.
As he quotes scripture on the campaign trail “YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS”.
Here’s what Ted Cruz has to say to those that mistrust politicians these days (time 1:12:40):

Well, this article is about Sen. Paul, who did not do the same. Paul doesn't seem as keen as Cruz and the rest are on giving Canada and Japan a vote in writing American laws.
Hey, where can I get my Globalist Shill t-shirt? That meme has taken over from “purist”, right?
LOL, so now you are saying Japan and Canada can write our laws? Prove it...
Paul said when asked to react to an article from Breitbart News from late Sunday evening exposing the tax increase in the deal:
...
So Breitbart uncovered this tax, not Paul?
