Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)93% is calling on Republicans in the House—and the grassroots nationwide—to oppose efforts by House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58% to revive Obamatrade via a tax increase hidden inside the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) portion of the deal.
Paul said when asked to react to an article from Breitbart News from late Sunday evening exposing the tax increase in the deal:
"You know typically to pass these kinds of things, the establishment will try to buy off Democrats by sprinkling money so they have some money in there. To get the money, under our budget rules, we have to pay for it—so they want to pay for it with a fine on small businesses...So I think when people discover they’re sticking a tax increase in there I think people will be even more unhappy."
Paul said he recommends all Republicans vote against TAA when Ryan and House GOP leadership bring it back up on Tuesday for an attempt to revive it after it embarrassingly failed 302-126...

Paul said he expects the issue of Obamatrade to be a big deal on the 2016 campaign trail. It’s already separated the field as Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and more oppose it. Sens. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)93% , Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80% and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)47% (R-FL)–and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush—among others support it.
“Everywhere I go, people come up to me and say ‘thank you for not giving the president more power’ ‘thank you for voting against TPA,’” Paul said. “So I think it does resonate with people, and we’ll see how these things shake out, but it fits my message..."

Well, when I get behind a “globalist shill” like Mitt Romney, any random Bush, Krispy Kreme or Pataki, I’ll expect that flak. As it is, I support the most conservative candidate in the race.
Obviously there is disagreement over what the word “conservative” means. Myself and several others don’t think it includes obamatrade, amnesty, the h1b visa program or the patriot act II. Others think it includes some or all of those. Neither side looks to be backing down, so I guess we’ll get to argue it out for a spell.
In the end, I don’t think it’ll matter worth a hill of beans. We’ll get obamatrade, amnesty, the h1b visa program, patriot act 3, 4, and 5 and a general tax hike. Its just what the uniparty is and what it does. The silver lining, to the extent that there is any, is that fewer people will think its worth their time to cast a meaningless ballot. And it will be very amusing to watch “conservatives” contort themselves and try to sell a sh** sandwich as filet mignon because their beloved candidates says that’s what it is.

I have a question for you related but off-topic. Just want to see if there is any contextual logic to your thinking.
Suppose 2 people each have a handgun. Each holds their gun in their hand.
One person is a convict and is known to be criminally inclined and violent.
The other is a pillar of the community, a supporter of the rule of law and the Constitution.
Here’s the question: should these two persons be barred from having their guns in their hands out in the open? Should only one be barred?

A lot of young ambitious people start out reaching for the top in finance and politics. They’re smart but inexperienced. As they grow older they tend to see their own sense of principles and morals emerge and they become more conservative as a result. Conservative ideology for many Conservatives is an acquired taste.
There are many very smart conservatives that have risen to the top via Wall St., via political paths, via Hollywood. Along the way they met and spoke to many liberals and progressives. In meeting these people they became familiar with the defects, deception and duplicity of their liberal progressive contacts.
Ronald Reagan is a prime example.
Ted Cruz is not a one-worlder, nor is he a Bilderberg or a RINO masquerading as a Conservative. And neither is his wife.
And this is known because of his track record.
As he quotes scripture on the campaign trail “YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS”.

Well, this article is about Sen. Paul, who did not do the same. Paul doesn't seem as keen as Cruz and the rest are on giving Canada and Japan a vote in writing American laws.
