Ted Cruz Channels Paul Ryan: 'A Lot of Misinformation' on Obamatrade That 'You Can Get on the [net]'
Breitbart ^ | 6/11/15 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 06/11/2015 9:24:22 PM PDT by z taxman

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)96%, a 2016 Republican presidential candidate, defended his decision to vote for Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) that would fast-track the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA)—among other deals—during a Thursday interview with the Hugh Hewitt radio program.

Hewitt started his line of questioning with coming out of a commercial. “Let’s take that opportunity, then, to go and talk about free trade—TPA, TPP, Export-Import Bank. Sen. Cruz, for clarity’s sake, can you quickly give us an overview on where you are on those three issues, as there’s quite a lot of confusion among conservative voters as to where different people are and why on each of those three issues.”

“Sure,” Cruz responded. “There is a lot of confusion and, unfortunately, a lot of misinformation you can get on the Internet that people are confused, so let’s explain what each of those three are.”

Cruz, by saying that, was essentially making the exact same claim—blaming the Internet for what he argues is “misinformation”—as House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)60%. Ryan made the claim on Fox News earlier on Thursday in response to Breitbart News reporting highlighted by the massively influential Drudge Report. Ryan, with whom Cruz pushed Obamatrade in a Wall Street Journal op-ed in late April—one that’s been used by Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)40% to try to rally support for Obamatrade—has been essentially discredited by various false statements he’s made throughout this process.

That Cruz would use the same talking points as him is interesting and probably disappointing to many conservatives. That Boehner is using Cruz to push Obamatrade is probably even more disappointing to most conservatives... ...

Post 60 looks to me like a retread who has some hate leftover for me, from his last time around.

Rep. Tom McClintock, R-CA04, explains the process in greater detail:

McClintock, you may recall, came in third in that California gubernatorial recall election to eject Gray-out Davis, which Ahnold the RINO won.

True but, despite my reservations, I had more faith in Cruz. He was part of what McCain derided as the wackobirds.. but he’s seeming more establishment by the day. Remember Paul Ryan in 2012? Look at him now... And now Cruz is walking that same damn slippery slope.

I voted for a conservative I believed shared my values. You voted for a liberal that literally opposes every aspect of conservative values. Thats a documented fact. You have nothing to defend. Compounding that mistake by repeating it is a bad idea.

If you can look at the whole of Cruz’s record and throw it out, you deserve Jeb Bush.

So you preferred Obama to Romney, fine, I'm glad we got that cleared up since that was the choice we were dealing with.

Now, however, Cruz isn't on the ticket yet and there are a lot of other possible choices to be on the ticket. Maybe even a few who without big money backing can't afford to play the "make myself inevitable" game of employing a horde of trolls and cheerleaders to silence opposition and slander their opponents far in advance of the election.

Nice to meet someone who voted for Obama either by sitting home or by outright pulling the lever for him.

At least that's the only logical conclusion anyone can make from a poster who slams people who held their nose and voted for Romney rather than the Muzzie in Chief we still have.

Thank you dear Marcella. I have posted it at least 15 times. Everyone needs to listen to it before they behead themselves.

Read post 79, click on link and hear Cruz about the trade deal (that part begins at about 50 min. in), plus every other important matter in this election. Listen to him and hear answers to questions from the audience at the end.

Actually if people look at your posting history, you signed up attacking Cruz from your very first posts, and pushing Paul.

What are your previous sign up names?

I preferred who I voted for. Palin. Had you all been thinking clearly you would not have shoved the GOP leftward resulting in this TTP fiasco, arming ISIS and the rest.

I’m noticing that a lot of the recent sign-up $#*+ -stirrers throw that Alinsky nonsense back at us when we call them on something. Same person? Reading off a script? I don’t know, but it’s awfully coincidental. And if this guy isn’t pissant, who is he?

I honestly believe that most Freepers have guns and the will to use them in the protection of themselves, their family, and their country.

Most of the people to cowardly to enter a private voting booth alone and vote for a conservative will kneel in duplication when handing their guns over to the designated liberal sent to collect them.
