I like the Duggars. I’ve never been interested in the show. I can’t understand why anyone who is not interested wants the show shut down. Can’t you find something else to do? Are you vested in TLC?
Are you joking? The first episode “miss fisher” laments the illegality of abortion. Turned it off right there.

While this is a remote possibility, it could be that it is difficult to sell advertising on a show that features a guy that felt up his prepubescent sisters.

Yes. Everyone loves the Duggars except for some errant Freepers who should immediately drive to Northwest Arkansas, don a hairshirt and prostrate themselves at the church but not go in where 3 Duggars were married and the subject of 3 2 hour Duggar marriage specials on TLC.
Once it has been established by little Josie Duggar and received an approving nod from Johanna as well and the optional wave from Jackson that you are sufficiently cleansed, you may then proceed to drive to Branson and go to the Tony Orlando theatre and the Glen Campbell theatre and watch the shows...but not Andy Williams, because you doubted and are not worthy.

Forgiven or not, the fallen Duggar must not be present at the site of the holy TLC 2 hour Duggar Special nuptials.
Unless it's his own Duggar wedding in which case the entire building must be ritually cleansed with that special laundry soap the Duggars make for themselves.
Nobody wants to face the wrath of TLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Discovery Communications Inc or worse some holier than thou Freepers.
I don’t know if he was forgiven or not. But my expressing sympathy for the girls does not address the forgiveness issue either way.

Here is my first post on the issue. Prior to this thread I had never heard of the Duggars. Had no idea, and didn’t care. A lot of people were all worried about poor Josh, and I pointed out that the girls are a bigger concern.
Every conversation I have had since this came up has produced more perverts trying to knock down my continued defense of having posted that.
I’m not sorry for my position, and in fact I will reiterate the same position on every thread about sexual abuse and if they are ther I will remind the folks defending Josh what their past position was when the perp was some famous person they idolized.
Probably I will quote my original posts, and link to the threads rather than copy and paste every single post.
It will be hard for unnamed people to whine that I stalked then if I do it that way. (Unless they get the threads deleted and I have to post my archived copy...still even that will be a stretch to label as “Stalking”.)
Both of you stop the feuding.
MrEdd, if a thread or a post gets deleted, do NOT post an archived copy of it.
Why don’t you tell us about all your family secrets so we can tear down everything you’ve ever tried to accomplish.
That’s apples and oranges. Advertisers don’t care about a show they no longer advertise on. If TLC can’t find advertisers or can make more money from another show, that I can understand. What I’m observing is a strangely punitive mentality from people with no dog in the fight.
I hope you entertained yourself with that post, cause I didn’t get a lick of it.
