Hideous hypocrite.
Next.
Time to clean house and rid ourselves of his ilk. I have prosecuted enough of these types to know faux-come to Jesus when I see it.
This is a good, well thought out article by Doug Giles. Those of you who don’t know him may know of his daughter Hannah Giles (the young conservative who partnered with James O’Keefe in bringing about the “temporary” destruction of Acorn (she played an over-the-top prostitute to O’Keefe’s over-the-top portrayal of a pimp).
Of course, those folks who have gleefully joined in the anti-Duggar jihad will likely dismiss his thoughts...but they shouldn’t.
So there’s this fantastically popular play with millions of liberals in thousands of performances to standing ovations called “The Vagina Monologues”?
And in TVM, one of the skits is the lesbian seduction of a 13 year old girl?
So maybe that should be brought out in comparison to the Duggars, so the wounded liberal hypocrites can explain the difference?
Just saying...
Next to the Caitlin Jenner stories, I’m tired of hearing anything about the Duggars. Why don’t they take their private business home with them for a few months?
Right now, it’s a no win situation for the ‘attacked’ girls. The more they publically defend their brother, more folks will say, they are following the orders of their parent’s, or have Stockholm Syndrome. I think both reality groups are hooked on living their lives as an ongoing performance art piece. Same way the Octo-Mom was some years ago, before she wore out here welcome.
I find myself conflicted on all this
Born in 1950 I remember the old days when sexual exploration was said to be normal and natural at least to some extent.
I do not remember any religious zealotry about sexual matters but then I was raised an Episcopalian and the Episcopal doctrine (I think) was “all things in moderation” (possibly including murder.)
However I also remember being 15 years old and at that point I was driving a car, riding motorcycles, falling in love with a girl, and the idea of “exploring” anyone at that point in my life ...much less a child or a relative, was impossible to contemplate.
Maybe I was too conservative.
But I don’t think it crossed my mind
So the meaning of all this will be forever beyond my grasp
And as far as I can see “Reality TV” over all seems like a bad idea.
After all that West Coast Chopper Family didn’t seem to fare all that well, or that chubby little girl, or that bounty hunting crew.
Like Balaam's ass; I hope that ELSIE can be used at some times or places.
I’m tired of hearing about this rotter.
I have noticed that it's pretty much impossible to "discuss" the Duggar situation. It seems one is only allowed to attack, attack, attack that vile, nasty, loathsome boy. To do anything else, is to invite such attacks upon oneself along the lines of "So you think what he did was OK????????"
Giles is discussing the matter. Almost no one else tries to do that.
70x7
If the intent is to be cute, Dave Barry has that covered. If the intent is to make a point about Josh Duggar, he lost me.
Ok, rant off. This author might speak to different folks, just not making the connection here!
Outstanding perspective by Doug Giles.
Having seen a few episodes, I’m profoundly struck by the extraordinary kindness Michelle shows when correcting her kids’ bad behavior.
Anyone who claims they have too many kids to parent them conscientiosly has probably never watched the show.
A neighbor of ours half-jokingly called his oldest daughter “the first pancake” - the one you throw away - because she had a horrid temper and disposition. The Duggars’ “ first pancake” has had an unimaginable impact on not only their family and future, but very possibly on our next presidential election if we don’t get some perspective on this.
Thank you, Doug Giles.
I can’t compare the Duggars to great biblical heroes until they do something heroic. Right now they are just hypocrites.
