KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine A banner in the town square says, Happy 90th Barbara Bush. Postcards read Kennebunkport: 2 presidents, 1 town. A local gift shop is already selling unofficial Jeb Bush 2016 magnets.
In this coastal hamlet made famous by George H.W. Bush and his cigarette boat, it is hard to escape the Bush family but Jeb Bush is trying very hard to do so.
After festivities this weekend to celebrate his mothers 90th birthday, Bush will jet overseas for a foreign-policy tour and then launch his 2016 presidential campaign 1,500 miles to the south in Miami.
The iconic family compound here, called Walkers Point, is a fitting metaphor for what has emerged as Jeb Bushs central political challenge: how far to distance himself from his familys political legacy.

No more Bushes
No more Clintons
Who’s got the Bush PING list? /s
Jebster has shown he’s more concerned about fraudulently documented foreigners than with the citizens of this once great nation.
The rule of law is the foundation of the Republic and Jebster wants to abandon it so his wife’s countrymen can colonize our country.
His challenge is to keep people from seeing him in a serape and a sombrero. He’s a Mexican.
LOL!
No more Big Gubmint LEFTISTS (from EITHER party) !
The Grey Old Witch is still working the streets. In past times they burned witches at the stake.
>>No more Bushes<<
I don’t care about the “dynasty” thing — anyone who does should have his/her head examined. Family ties should have no bearing on how we select our POTUS.
I just don’t want a damn RINO.

GO CRUZ
This Bush backs Common Core. Common Core is the Obamacare of public education. If Jeb does not know this, he is plain-old-stupid and not fit to lead anything.
I refuse to vote for Jeb or Bush.
The Bush is bad on many levels. I just don’t want us to mark it bad for family ties.
I want the most conservative POTUS we can elect — family name be damned. Jeb is NOT conservative by any and all measures. Being a little right of Hatelery is NOT a gateway entry ticket.
I have absolutely settled on Cruz/Walker in that order.
No candidate ticks all the boxes on the Conservative tick-list (Ronald Reagan would have whiffed as well). We need to do the best we can with what we have.
Time to draw lines and empanel teams.
While we speak about Jeb, we owe it to Barbara Bush to acknowledge she was one of the most beloved First Ladies since Eleanor Roosevelt — her class and supreme and knife-edged sense of humor brought elegance and grace to the role and the White House. What a difference to the crass meanness hatelery brought and the snobbish hypocrisy, stupidness and entitlement the current (thank God temporary) first w****kie brings.
Laura was and is also a breath of fresh air — she then and now exudes class (again compare to the current occupant).
I will cut a break for Rosalynn Carter. She was smarter than her husband (low bar) — she paid attention but didn’t interfere.
Of course, the exemplar of all exemplars, Nancy Reagan, needs no explanation nor defense. She redefined 1st Lady forever in the best of all possible ways.
J! vs. H!
WOW the Left really must want Jeb to run to print a puff piece like this.
I’ll vote for either Jeb or Rubio because they will bring Hispanics to GOP
You’re voting for permanent minority Republican status
It seems the more bizarre and alienated from the conservative America Jeb Bush becomes, the more the media try to rehabilitate him toward getting the nomination. He’s the NYT choice for the GOP, apparently.
There ought to be a message there.
