I doubt that the color of the knife had anything to do with this getting this guy killed.
The fact that he was under surveillance for possible terrorist ties was probably the deciding vote.

Identified as an *Ontario Combat knife,* probably the SP6 fighting knife model. I'd say describing it as a *military* or *fighting* knife wouldn't be too much of a stretch; it's so listed at YouToob as well. Eight-inch blade, with a black finished grip and blade like a Marine K-Bar. I wouldn't much bet on a rookie with one of the things up against an experienced opponent with a khukuri, but of course the jihadists like to go for unarmed victims, of which there are plenty to be found in his Boston-area hunting grounds.
