China Warns of ‘Inevitable’ War with US Over South China Sea

After Chinese state media warned that war with the United States may be “inevitable,” Beijing has published a policy paper detailing how the military will shift its focus from land and coastlines to the open seas. China’s State Council released a white paper today that criticizes “external countries…busy meddling in South China Sea affairs” and sets out an “active defense” military strategy for the country.

The paper comes a day after an editorial (link in Chinese) in the state-run Chinese tabloid Global Times said conflict between China and the US will be unavoidable if the Washington doesn’t lay off Beijing for building islands and military facilities in disputed parts of the South China Sea.

“We do not want a military conflict with the United States, but if it were to come we have to accept it,” the paper said.

Isn't it great having a President seen by our enemies, and potential enemies, as the weakest in American History???

Putin has said the same thing, that war with the US is "inevitable".

Is ANYONE in DC that matters paying attention?

opening trade with China was a great idea. It gave them tons of money, stole manufacturing jobs and helped build up their military while doing nothing to affect government change. But at least we got lots of cheap gadgets.

“We do not want a military conflict with the United States, but if it were to come we have to accept it,”...

Not true. This is posturing. Red China's stated goal is to take on the U.S. in 2025 and win. They are not only preparing for war but want it for the same old reasons; land and power.

Look for the Spratly Islands and Formosa to be their first acquisitions by arms while they are trying to kick our butts!

The very first order of business the US would take in a war with China is to cancel all the debt the Chinese hold in US dollars.

That one act might be worth the loss of an aircraft carrier

In the 1930s we sold huge amounts of scrap metal to Japan, including New York’s Sixth Avenue Elevated Railway.

Urban legend was that it came back to us in the form of bullets.

I guess we’ll find out soon enough if we are going to have a replay.

Somehow I think China would just shrug that off.

Yes, I thought also of what Putin said as I read this. But moreso the warnings Putin gave for years regarding Ukraine....just as China has regarding South China Seas.

It’s pretty easy anymore...to see the US is indeed meddling in other nations and has been for some time... with what motivation and purposes is very much debatable for the picture that’s painted is very different then the actual facts anymore.....

...as for Washington...it sure looks like they’e all on board, and if any opposition they simply lack the power to prevent, at best maybe to stall which we see all sides doing today.

I no longer believe Washington is dysfunctional.....rather they are all operating with the Globalist Agenda in mind first and foremost above the interests of the US or it’s citizens.

Inevitable? How can that be?

If 0bama hasn’t already surrendered to them, it is a mere oversight, and will be attended to as soon as he gets out of the hot tub with Reggie.

Meanwhile China keeps on gobbling up American manufacturing.

Latest “balance” of trade:

342 billion dollars in the negative.

Last year. This year is getting even worse.

While Obama and Congress have decimated our own military, China and Russia have been buiding theirs up.

The Air Force chief of Staff, Gen Mark Welsh, just said this week that China and Russia next generation fighters (builth with stolen US technology) can outperform even our best fighters, and they have A LOT more of them than we do.
