One of nine bikers killed at a shootout outside a Texas restaurant was a Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient whose family members dispute police claims he was in a criminal group.
An Associated Press review of Texas court records and a database maintained by the state department of public safety turned up no criminal history in Texas for Jesus Delgado Rodriguez, 65, of New Braunfels. And his son Vincent Ramirez told the San Antonio Express-News that he was not violent.

He took a bullet for his country.
His life ended in a FUBAR Police operation.
We’re going to see more and more of this as our civil society continues to break down. We’re not in Kansas anymore. It is a good time to be old.
This story keeps getting shadier and shadier. I’m betting that all the dead were shot by cops.
The rumble was wrong and dangerous, but a million dollar bond for almost 200 guys?
Has that ever happened before?
And organized crime charges?
Wasn’t the rioting in Baltimore organized?
“Family members said Rodriguez was a biker and had belonged to two now-defunct motorcycle clubs, one of which allowed couples. But he was not part of any club when he was killed at Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco, they said, though he had friends who were Bandidos.”
So much for the thought that the police (or bikers) were just shooting at bikers wearing affiliated “color” jackets.
And forfeiture sales were being discussed for all of the bikes before a few days had passed.
Yet when there are nationally coordinated financial riots, none of the financial bakers of the hate groups, the organizers, or participants are charged under RICO statutes.
Even the arson calls threats against the pizza restaurant that ‘would’ refuse catering a ‘gay wedding’ were racketeering.
His life ended in mingling with gangs. Getting combat wounded 40 years ago doesn’t give you free pass to act like a thug. A purple heart means you were wounded in battle, on one specific day, nothing more.
The Waco cops did fantastic. And the prosecutors and judge are matching them.
Sounds like it came off a tagline from a biker exploitation movie poster.
SWAT knew the dirty white bikers lacked any Grievance Industry support if they were shot down in the parking lot, so the parking lot was a Free Fire Zone.
No, you totally misunderstand. These guys were at a church prayer meeting and the breastaurant was the only place big enough to hold the whole party.
Perhaps they are demonstrating how easily armed white groups can be taken out.
You are right about the other groups. It’s disgusting.
Riot and burn and loot and nothing.
Biker gang rumble and shots through the head and neck.
The more articles that I read about this situation, the more I scratch my head. It certainly doesn’t sound cut and dry. Nine are shot but 170 are arrested? New video (according to Yahoo yesterday) stated that there was one shooter. The video hasn’t been released due to an “active law enforcement case” It will be interesting to see how this plays out.. with new info.. but call me jaded that what we were initially told isn’t what was really going on.
I’m finding it VERY difficult to forgive and forget all the posters here who were happy this all went down as it did.
They’ll be the kapos when the opportunity presents itself.
You haven’t gotten the memo apparently
We have a number of Freepers who are all for murdering outlaw bikers
There names are on these threads
I’m sure not forgetting who they are....cowards
“Im betting that all the dead were shot by cops.”
That report was out yesterday. They have backed up a little on it today, but my nose tells me it is true.
And this is a total screw up SWAT raid.
One thing about it, they [the cops] have their defenders if you read the other threads.
I’m not a cop or member of SWAT but during riots don’t they usually use something a little less lethal than bullet through the head and neck first?
If the bikers were actively shooting each other and putting civilians in danger then I can see, but is there any video of what happened yet?
There must be.
And they are alleged[if I can borrow that term from another poster] who cheer and say [post] he got what he deserved.
I am sorry my friend. I don’t see this one the way you do.
Too many lies and too much posturing coming out of the Waco Police Dept. This is a FUBAR SWAT team incident.
Conservative Treehouse has been covering this better than anyone, this was twisted in the press from the beginning.
We are old friend, see almost everything the same here, but I disagree on this.
Something stinks. I heard a caller today say this was a normal ‘political meetup’ for these guys to sort stuff oit. Even includes some Christian bikers. Don’t know what to believe.
