ROME, May 19, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- Pope Francis has appointed radically liberal, pro-homosexual Dominican Father Timothy Radcliffe as a consultor for the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace.
The Holy Father made the appointment on Saturday, according to Vatican Radio.
Father Radcliffe, an Englishman, author and speaker, was Master of the Dominican order from 1992 to 2001, and is an outspoken proponent of homosexuality.
"We must accompany [gay people] as they discern what this means, letting our images be stretched open, he said in a 2006 religious education lecture in Los Angeles. This means watching 'Brokeback Mountain,' reading gay novels, living with our gay friends and listening with them as they listen to the Lord."
In 2005, as the Vatican deliberated the admission of men with homosexual tendencies to study for the priesthood in the wake of the Church sex abuse scandal, Father Radcliffe said that homosexuality should not bar men from the priesthood, and rather, those who oppose it should be banned. ...

There’s no excuse for anyone in any authority who is making hiring decisions to NOT know about where the candidate stands, religious or secular.
If we can find out about this guy’s background, HE can.
I’m sure he has more resources and is privy to more background information on this man than we are.
There’s no excuse for any claim of ignorance on the part of the pope for this appointment. When Catholics continue to make excuses for why he keeps doing the off the wall things he does and says, then it cuts deeply into their credibility. It reveals wishful thinking and desperation, that things aren’t really as bad as they appear.
They are. You all are in a world of hurt and everyone else can see it. You all need to get your heads out of the sand and admit it because the continual denial and excuses are not going to accomplish anything.
Said self-righteously......
Luke 18:9-14 He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.
But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, a sinner! I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.
Padre, you let homosexuals in the church and more than your "images" are going to be stretched open.
Yikes!
Catholics claim the pope is the “vicar of Christ”. Except when he’s not I suppose. I watch as excuses, defences, and attempts at explaining away the acts and actions of those so call “vicars of Christ” yet Catholics will condemn every Protestant for the actions of some Protestant preacher or group. The double standards are astounding.
Do they not listen to themselves? We are told that the pope is the "vicar of Christ". Yet some will overlook depravity in the man, some will claim he is totally incompetent to the point of not even knowing who he is putting in positions of leadership.
So they have the highest leadership in their "church" who puts this guy at it's head. Then this guy appoints depraved to positions of leadership obviously condoning homosexuality which is rampant within their "church". Yet they will condemn all of Protestants for the actions of one group or individual in what they admit is not a cohesive organization.
What sublime rules of logic you expose!
Nope; just illuminating how Judgmental YOU seem to be about your beloved Leader..
he is (IMHO) an absolute train-wreck as a pope.
I wonder what teaching, found in the CCC, allows you to do this.
(It MUST be there somewhere; for many other FR Catholics seem to be of the same OPINION as you.)
And the Roman church has NO warts?
Ok then...
More into deflowering it seems...
HMMMmmm...
He got that from Clinton’s Surgeon General...
I lifted every piece of it from somewhere else.
"One indeed is the universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved, in which the priest himself is the sacrifice, Jesus Christ, whose body and blood are truly contained in the sacrament of the altar under the species of bread and wine; the bread (changed) into His body by the divine power of transubstantiation, and the wine into the blood, so that to accomplish the mystery of unity we ourselves receive from His (nature) what He Himself received from ours." Pope Innocent III and Lateran Council IV (A.D. 1215)
Therefore, if anyone says that it is not by the institution of Christ the lord himself (that is to say, by divine law) that blessed Peter should have perpetual successors in the primacy over the whole Church; or that the Roman Pontiff is not the successor of blessed Peter in this primacy: let him be anathema. Vatican 1, Ses. 4, Cp. 1
Them damned HATERS! are everywhere these days!
I see.
May I now include YOU on the OFFICIAL Haters List; TOO?
“Judgmental”?
You’re not of the liberal persuasion who uses “Judge not” as an excuse to give a free pass to select people [themselves, or others], regardless of their actions, are you?
As for your question of “what teaching found in the Catechism ALLOWS me to do this”... I’m really rather speechless at the abyss between Catholicism and your attempt to understand it. How on earth can you even ask such a question? What on earth gives you the idea that the Church micromanages every last point of a Catholic’s life?
Next, I suppose you’ll ask me where the CCC “allows” me to eat potato chips cooked in lard...
...but I’m probably wasting my breath, here, anyway. Anti-Catholics aren’t known for reasonable discourse or openness to input which isn’t on their pre-approved list of “Protestant Articles of Belief”. I’d love for someone to prove me wrong, on that point, someday.
You may indeed sir. You see, I don't think Joseph had to hope eternally. 😆 Tiny Tim might have hoped eternally for Miss Vicky, but not Joseph. They did the evil deed. 😱 How dare they? 🙈
