The city’s narcotics cops are being told to stop arresting suspects over the age of 40 — a major strategy shift designed to target younger dealers, who are more likely to carry guns and use them, The Post has learned. Top brass issued a directive that makes it all but impossible for cops to bust older drug suspects, in order to combat a spike in shootings — which are up 7 percent in 2015 compared with the same period last year and 12 percent over the last four weeks, police sources said. The new policy was laid out in a May 14 memo obtained by The Post that scolded police bosses for busting people outside the 18-40 demographic — and demanded written explanations for arrests of midlife perps.

But probably, New York’s finest had been disproportionately targeting over 40 dealers so that they could avoid arresting dangerous individuals and make sure they go home at the end of their shift because that is only thing that ever matters at all. This policy could be just the departments way of saying “put down the donut, actually do your job, actually make some attempts at protecting the public from dangerous people”
Next they will be ordered to stop arresting suspects under 40. After that they will be ordered to arrest only those who speak ill of Obama and the mayor. Then the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth begins

It’ll be interesting to see how this “new world” will cope without the modern luxuries, but more importantly basic staples such as food, clothing and modern plumbing when we’re all gone.
Seems like they do want to destroy every single productive citizen.
I would agree with this if it were confined to drug ‘users.’
A couple I have known for years went through their life savings and more trying to clean-up their son. Finally died of a drug overdose at something like 44. As sad as it is to say, once somebody has been through three or four treatment plans - and still goes back to drugs - how this is going to end is already played-out. Might as well give them a place to flop and a supply, and let them have the ending they seem hell-bent on having.
