Living near Laurel Park, this could create a traffic situation for me, but I've always wanted to see a Preakness. I was at Belmont the day Secretariat won teh Triple Crown. A Preakness and a Derby are definitely on my list.

Did you stay long enough to see Twice a Prince finish?

I wonder how much the recent riots accelerated this consideration. Read the article, and the quotes exemplify the politically correct manner of saying Baltimore is no place to do business. Good bye, Pimlico.

Why might a Sunday race attract more attendees than a Saturday race?

My sisters and I attended the Preakness about 5 years ago. We don’t care a fig about horseracing, but, as native Marylanders, we thought we should attend at least once.

We were truly disappointed in how shabby the clubhouse was. There was nothing glamorous about the facilities or the people attending. What a big letdown!

I,too, talked of attending a Kentucky Derby, so my husband looked into taking a camping trip to the area. He says the cost would be outrageous, so it’s off the camping list.
