Which is weirder: building a flat topped mountain out of mashed potatoes or an actor who until about four years ago was a left wing lunatic but is now writing a rational article for the conservative PJ Media? When your humble correspondent saw the name "Richard Dreyfuss" as the author of an article in PJ Media, he immediately thought it must be a writer with the same name as the actor. However, after scrolling down to the bottom of the story, imagine my surprise upon discovering that it was indeed the actor. Although Dreyfuss did display a refreshing moment of mental clarity last year on Fox News when he spoke out in favor of American Exceptionalism, it could have been written off as just a freak event. Apparently it seems to part of a learning curve.
In his PJ Media article, Dreyfuss starts out arguing for a better informed citizenry, especially the youth. Okay, that could be chalked up to just a standard good citizenship lecture but then Dreyfuss delivered an analysis sure to get him disinvited to many a Hollywood party chock full of liberals:
Villains like Obama and the Clintons? Scandal after scandal, missing documents, government agencies used against political enemies, "missing" emails, etc., etc. Or how about runaway courts that decide abortion and same sex marriage are constitutional rights, and the peoples' votes on the subject don't count? Where has your voice been on all that Mr. Dreyfuss?
I think he has finally returned from the trip to Zeta Reticuli on that flying saucer in 1977...
Very well spoken! He just might be the next Democrat turned Republican actor to run for Governor of California and if he wins then what?

Richard Dreyfus, the actor, is as dumb as a box of rocks when not reading a script.
Dreyfus has always struck me as more articulate off-the-cuff than the usual Hollywood type. The fact that he went out of his way to defend one of the men most reviled by his own political party was exceptional years ago - and no less so today.
William F. Buckley once said that Dreyfuss was one of the few Hollywood types who would only speak out on an issue if he knew something about it. He said that even when he disagreed with Dreyfuss he always found him well informed and willing to take opposing ideas seriously.

I don’t know the man. The only interviews I have seen of him have developed my viewpoint. I’ve certainly been wrong before, I may be here. But I’m not yet won over. :{)
I remember him very early in his acting career appearing on Johnny Carson. Another guest said something he disagreed with and Richard literally kicked his feet like a spoiled little brat. I’m glad he’s finally begun to grow up.
He knows that every Jew in Europe is about to be forced to leave. He also knows he has supported every step that caused it.
Hollywood. LOL put up a board with hundreds of pictures of actors, directors musicians, etc. and close your eyes. Now throw a dart. Did you hit any NON Jews??? I didn’t think so.

I waited on him once about 30 years ago. He left a big tip, on top of which was a shiny new penny. I asked what it meant and he said it showed he thought the service was excellent. Only oerson I ever saw do that.

Heck, I just discovered Billy Joel was Jewish a couple of months ago. For 40 years I thought he was Italian..................I just don’t think in terms of ‘Is he/she Jewish?’ I really don’t care if they are or not, I just enjoy their work and think of them as actors or musicians, not representatives of various religions........Heck, I didn’t know Jack Benny was Jewish until I happened to look him up once on Wiki..........................
