Jeb Bush defends his stance on immigration in an interview that airs tonight on Fox News, contending that "a lot of people can be persuaded" to support a rewriting of laws that would allow for legal status.
"I think illegal immigration ought to be punished by coming out from the shadows, earning legal status over an extended period of time where you pay a fine, where you work, where you dont receive government assistance, where you learn English, where you dont -- you know, youre where deported if you commit a crime as is the law," Bush said in an interview that airs at 9 p.m. on Fox News Channel's The Kelly File.
"There are no, very few other options that I can see. The option of self-deportation, or making things so harsh is not really -- I dont think thats practical. And rounding people up door to door, isnt practical either. We need to enforce the, enforce the laws of our country for sure, and enforce the border.
Kelly reminded Bush that he once said he would support a path to citizenship, which he denied.
"No, Ive said as long as there -- if that was a way to get to a deal, where we turn immigration into a catalyst for high sustained economic growth, where we did all the things we need to do on border security, where we narrow the number of people coming through family petition and dramatically expanded a lifetime number for economic purposes, which will help us grow and help the median rise up and in return for that as a compromise, sure. But the plan, in our book and the plan that Ive suggested when I go out and speak, which is almost every day on the subject,

Whoever started them and continued them (and thanks for the information, sincerely), they were possible then, so should be possible now. The thing which is lacking is the political will amongst our so-called leadership. In fact, their will is to do just the opposite, in the interests of crony capitalism on the so-called right, and another political tool for the left.
“”I think illegal immigration ought to be punished by coming out from the shadows, earning legal status over an extended period of time where you pay a fine, where you work, where you dont receive government assistance, where you learn English, where you dont — you know, youre where deported if you commit a crime as is the law,” Bush said in an interview that airs at 9 p.m. on Fox News Channel’s The Kelly File.”
You know something? I am good with this.
HOWEVER......
Step 1. BUILD THE WALL
Step 2. Deport all illegals currently in American prisons
Step 3. If you decide to stay here as an illegal and not tag up, you forfeit your right to vote.
After that, I’m good.
If we, ordinary citizens, know these things (from either personal experience or statistics), then he and the rest of our “leaders” know. If they really don’t then they’re too stupid to lead anyone anyway. I don’t think that they’re that stupid. It’s just that their agenda and goals are not the same as ours.
Crony capitalism, more “voting bloc” tools for the fascist left, undermining of the remnant of the middle class, etc.
Obama, Holder, plus all of Obama’s DHS Dept. heads need to be in Federal Prison for failure to enforce our laws. Add everyone who has allowed them to stay here illegally. Illegal is law breaking. No damn exception for anyone.
Because the citizen hasn’t let their voices be heard like the illegal. The illegal and their American enablers will get off their butts and protest. Their sheer numbers scare politicians and they think this “path to citizenship” nonsense is the right thing to do.
The citizens of the host nation? They still think they can vote in the “right” person to represent them. I believe this is the one issue that crosses party lines and the citizens need to get off their butts and display a show of numbers that would scare the pants off of not only the politicians, but the business community who supports this invasion as well.
Only by LYING to thetm. ANYBODY BUT BUSH!!!
If that’s the choice, I will finally have to do what I’ve so often threatened, but not yet done, vote for a 3rd party.
Immigration is the only issue that matters anymore.
In tonight’s interview on Fox News, Bush says that if elected, he won’t repeal Obama’s Executive Amnesty!
Okay. Let's take the above fragment from the Dauphin and add some other subject topics:
Murder, Robbery, Rape, Arson, Extortion, Theft, Burglary, Manslaughter, Drunk driving, White collar crime, Tax Evasion, Peeping Tom, Pederasty, Child molestation
I'm sure there are a number of others that you might find equally deserving.....when and how much is enough you privileged twit?
“We need to enforce the, enforce the laws of our country for sure, and enforce the border.”
That’s it. Just a passing comment on securing the border. Yet it’s all about blanket amnesty and getting the wetbacks
in there to vote.
He just cant hide that liberal yellow streak up his back as well
as Papa and baby Bush one did.
I will never vote for Juan Ellisio.
The best check on Jebbie’s persuasive talents is the latest IA poll where, among the currently best informed group of primary voters, he’s struggling to hold on to about eighth. Now, of course, emulating his girlfriend, the Witch, he’s started to lie about his earlier positions.
Jebbie Bush is an insufferable arrogant snot, which I would never say about GHWB or GWB. They are at least likeable & he is not.
I’ve concluded that George is the ‘smart’ brother.
See Jeb.
See Jeb Play
See Jeb Politician
sorry Jebby.. we need an adult...in the Whiteouse...not an entitled CHILD.
Heh, heh!
Jebbie does have the `entitled’ attitude, doesn’t he?
;^)
“Hey Im a Bush....” My Dad was President...Muh Brother Too!!!!!
Try me, Jeb. See if I can be persuaded...
This seem sort of bassackwards to me. I thought candidates were supposed to represent the will of the people, not impose their will on the rest of us.
