When groups like CAIR make such statements, you can be sure that their statements are intended to deceive, rather than being truthful expressions of their honest beliefs.

They just want Westerners to imagine Islam is an exotic version of Christianity ... like Protestantism is an exotic version of Catholicism - properly relaxed, and ripened for submission or the kill whichever is appropriate at the moment.

Because their are enough Americans that can read and understand Arabic to know that what is said in English by Muslim groups is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from what is said in Arabic by those same groups.
