Senator and presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)argued US anti-terrorism policy should emulate Liam Neesons character in Taken during a speech in South Carolina on Saturday.
Rubio called for a Middle Eastern policy of working with out allies to confront Irans ambitions to dominate the region, and by standing firmly with the only pro-American, free enterprise democracy in the Middle East, the great state of Israel.
He added, When people ask what should our strategy be on global jihadists and terrorists? I refer them to the movie Taken. Have you seen the movie Taken, Liam Neeson? He has a line, and this is what our strategy should be, we will look for you, we will find you, and we will kill you.

“We take a candidate and we nit pick them to death.”
So...you are saying that McCain in 2008 and Romney in 2012 did not make it because of nit-picking?
If not, what candidate are you referring to?
Nit-pick? NIT-PICK?
The man lied to my face from his heart, not some talking point scribbled on a note pad or teleprompter. So, I can nit-pick and say that he is neither honorable or a man if he can lie from his heart.
If you want specifics, it was at the Florida GOP District 4 campaign kickoff in June of 2010. I asked him specifically face to face about his stance on ILLEGAL immigration. He did not blink or lose eye contact when he said border security first before anything else and then follow that up with enforcing our current laws and absolutely no amnesty.
Nit-picking? Yea, right.
and you do not think anything is wrong with Rubio quoting a guy who acts one way and believes a completely different way?
Something doesn’t seem quite right in your argument, friend.
the nit picking was followed by dissertion. Obama was elected
We know for certain that many conservatives don’t understand America has a two party system and that in the end there are two candidates.
A decision must be made as to which of the two agrees most with one’s views.
To not decide and not vote for either is copping out, being mentally lazy
Hey, I agree. However, it is obvious that some folks on here just read the Headline of the article and then go straight to the “Comments” section. BTW, a couple of guys did fulfill my prophecy I posted in Post #18.
Happy Mother’s Day.
Sure.
Just like he didn’t realize promising amnesty for illegals in speeches to La Raza and securing the border in speeches to English speaking Americans was wrong.
Poor, poor Rubio.
We know for certain that many conservatives dont understand America has a two party system and that in the end there are two candidates.
We do understand that.
We just don’t vote for liberals.
Even if they are wearing an R jersey.
Nominate an liberal on the GOP side and they will lose.
Been telling the RNC/GOP that for years and they don’t care as long as they prevent conservatives from power.
Not voting for Bush, Rubio, Huckabee, Perry or any other cheaplabor importer.
Starting at 1:34 - addressing her (or supposed lack of) national security credentials. Nails it IMO
Chris Wallace Asks Carly Fiorina About Hillary Clinton & Running In 2016 | Fox News Sunday
She is useful as the Hillary criticizer but she’s not conservative.
If she sticks to that role, fine.
If she starts going after the real conservatives we’ll know she’s another blocker for Bush, like Rubio, Huckabee, and others.
I think she is more conservative than Rubio, Huckabee and Trump and Jeb Bush.
Twisting the quote into a Rubio endorsement of Neeson’s view of the 2nd Amendment is
Ridiculous.
And candidates are expected to track every actor’s opinion on every subject?
Ridiculous.
“...telling the Arbanian creep his intent.”
Believe it or not, the creep in Taken was “Marko from Trepoja”.
No, Marco. It is the movie character that makes that statement. Neeson is about as milquetoast as Neville Chamberlin.
Bad analogy, Marco.
[Similar with those who confuse Jack Bauer and Kiefer Sutherland.]
This shouldn't have to be explained.
and, thus assure Hillary is elected
Now, now. Don't let that obvious fact get in the way of an idiotic conclusion.
