Ted Cruz is blaming the terror attack outside a controversial cartoon contest in Texas on President Obama.

“Once again, as with Nidal Hasan and the Tsarnaev brothers, we have radical Islamic terrorists who this Administration knew about and yet failed to connect the dots and prevent this act of terrorism,” the Texas Republican senator told the Dallas Morning News. “It underscores the need for vigilance. And it also underscore the concerns with this Administration’s inability to combat radical Islamic terrorism.”

Cruz, a frequent critic of the Obama administration and a 2016 presidential candidate, was referring to a horrific incident Sunday in Garland, Texas, where two gunman opened fire outside a community center that had been hosting a contest for cartoon depictions of the Prophet Muhammad.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, but it remains unclear whether the extremist group had a direct connection to the two shooters — Elton Simpson, who had been the subject of a long-running FBI probe. and Nadir Soofi.

Both attackers were shot dead

Once again Cruz goes straight to the root of the problem, and when he is POTUS he will dig out all the infectious weeds by their roots that have invaded our Free Republic.

I hope so. There are dozens of wet, flat rocks that need to be flipped over. Crimes both felonious and High have been committed. Unless a few end up in prison orange, future outrages and tyranny from senior pols and appointees are guaranteed.

” We have radical Islamic terrorists who this Administration knew about...”

This should read: “We have radical Islamic terrorists that are an integral part of this Administration...”

There is only one view expressed in the comment section. Does that mean they do not allow any opposing views?

Cruz is exactly right . None of this would be happening if America had succeeded in electing a forthright and strong foreign policy President in the last two elections .
Not saying that either of the Republicans than opposed Obama were the right guys , or even that George W. Bush took the right tact . W set the lawyers loose on our military and started the entire Rules of Engagement restriction in our military approaches in action .

America need to be led by a warrior , not by more damn lawyers . We need a leader that sees the vast and dire threat that the entirety of Islam presents . It’s more than a few nutballs , it’s the entire ethos .

While Cruz is himself a lawyer , he may be the best of those declared as running that we can support at this time .
Unless something huge and dramatic happens between now and then , and our present government’s response is way off , or non-existent , and other more urgent measures are required .
