Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon turned conservative star, has confirmed that he will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.
Carson, who has never run for public office, is expected to be the only high-profile African-American to enter the GOP’s presidential primary as he tries to parlay his success as an author and speaker into a competitive campaign against established politicians.
“I’m willing to be part of the equation and therefore, I’m announcing my candidacy for president of the United States of America,” he said in an interview aired Sunday night by Ohio’s WKRC television station.
He is set to make a more formal announcement during a speech from his native Detroit on Monday.

Come to think of it, I’ve known liberals who are more adept at defending their ideas than you have been as a conservative. They actually know how to defend their ideas without calling names.

Well, Carson’s words are there for all to see. He has expressed reservations not uncommon to many. I hardly interpret this as a rash attempt at gun grabbing in order to disarm a law-abiding public.
The good news is you have, in the way of logic placed yourself into the lunatic fringe on this matter. The bad news is, like so many low information voters, you have rendered yourself incapable of contributing anything useful to public discourse, but instead cheapen it with innuendo.

The gun grabbing comes after you give them an inch. We have fought valiantly not to surrender that inch.
Actually, we have valiantly ceded miles to the powers of those who would disarm the law-abiding public. Has it occurred to you that Carson may be one of many who would advocate to the contrary, albeit perhaps not in increments that redound to the instant gratification demanded by children who know neither how to think nor speak in incremental terms?
Carson is a political climber.....he will shift to whatever venue will carry him to his own goals. He’s enjoying the ride too much.

We have done nothing of the kind. Actually, all across the country, states are making it OK to carry a gun without a CCW permit.
