We all saw the videos of the mayhem, arson, looting, vandalism and physical assaults in Baltimore the last few days. Very ugly stuff which will cost hundreds of millions and years of bad PR for Baltimore.
Then very quickly we see criminal charges filed. These people are facing many years in prison. Decades.
But of all the video, I never did see any clear evidence that the cops intentionally tried to harm or kill Freddie Gray.
In fact all I have really heard are references regarding possible policy or safety infractions. Such as not putting a seat belt on Gray and allegations they might not have sought medical attention quickly enough. The cops said they didn't know he was injured enough for medical attention until they reached the jail.
And I've seen no real evidence the driver was driving erratically.
I'm not sure any of these cops are guilty of anything which would rate prison time. Maybe being fired for not following policy or protocol. But decades long prison time?
They came to a decision to charge these cops really quickly. With that many players I would think it should take quite a while to figure out if actual criminal charges should even be filed.
Maybe they have some big evidence we have all yet to see. We'll see what evidence they allegedly have.
I look forward to seeing this evidence. But it better be good since Baltimore was looted and burned over it.

5 people injured in the back of a police van in 18 years ? Not a bad record considering how many rides. But yes they should seat belt them as they should seat belt children in school buses and people riding metro buses.
With your hands handcuffed behind you, you would be in a heck of a situation.

Are you confusing the bus rides that all of us here did daily for years and years, with being handcuffed with our hands behind us, inside one of those slick metal boxes?
Can you seriously imagine any city transporting children under the conditions that they were transporting people that they picked up on the streets?

Generally the penalty for murder is death.
In this case the reputations of these officers have been destroyed. I suspect that at least one of them will commit suicide. That should appease the race baiters.

I would like to see the written prisoner transport policy, but I haven’t been able to find one on the net.
Generally it isn’t, and Maryland doesn’t even have a death penalty, and this would never qualify for it anyway.
So you have gone from prison buses, to school buses, to cop executions, to now at least one of them is going to commit suicide.

Yep. In those school buses we were packed in like sardines in a can. And have been thrown around many times in a metro bus. Even on a sideways seat. Holding a bag on your lap is the same effect as being hand cuffed. You cannot brace from a quick stop or turn. Why don’t you take your campaign to the subways where it can really do some good. Trains have the same problem too. Why just protect criminals ?

You sound like the idiots that were rioting. You want to know what happened? The guy was thrashing about in the back of the van and broke his neck. That's what happened.

No “news story” has been posted here. Just a lot of hype.
The bus I showed you is a typical jail bus used to transport prisoners from jail to court. They do not have seat belts. Prisoners are free to thrash themselves about. Usually they don't. But if they do, the bus driver has to wait until they get to their destination before picking up the stupid prisoner who has accidentally broken his own neck.
Maybe cover up your claims that the cop is going to get the death penalty?
The driver of the van is reported to be receiving death threats and is in fear of his life. A mob execution is still an execution, isn't it?

A lot of cops whose careers have been unfairly destroyed end up committing suicide. Look it up.
Sure, but we can deal with the few facts that we do know, and if you look at my posts, I always try to keep it on the knowable.
