Joe Namath, one of the most charismatic players in NFL history and one of the game's greatest quarterbacks Uh, no.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
He’s way too old to play. He’d get wrecked.

I remember in his book, Bear Bryant described Namath as the best athlete he ever coached which surprised me. I knew he was a great QB but didn’t know about his athleticism.
He said John David Crow at Texas A&M was the best player.

It'll take some few years, but the NFL is done.
They'll have to go to flag football.

In the old days the beat the hell out of the QBs.
I remember a photo of Y.A. Tittle kneeling after a game, looking really tired and covered with blood and sweat.

Pfffft. And to think I got him to sign my glove on the sidelines when I was in the Million Dollar Band.

Sounds like Namath wants in on the gravy train.

Old Broadway Joe must be feeling neglected. He has a great point, you know. Without your brain you're nothing.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Hey, Joe....don’t completely blame football. Tipping the bottle the way you did wasn’t much help.

Were you playing in the NFL this year? I think the Bucs could have won more games with you (at your age) starting than McGown.

What a crock. I understand that years of POT use will kill your old brain. That POC is history. If he hadn’t had football he would be an unemployed steel worker like his brother in Beaver falls, Pa. Shut up Joe before you embarrass yourself.

If not for that one game in Super Bowl III when he predicted a victory and beat the Baltimore Orioles 16-7, would we even remember who Joe Namath was?
His entire claim to fame seems to revolve around that one game.
He also did some pantyhose ads in the early 1970s. I guess that caused a stir as well.

If it wasn’t for football,Joe Namath would be a plumber and nobody would give a good GD about his opinion on anything outside of a clogged toilet.

Re:
Joe Namath-- said today that if he'd known then what he knows now about concussions, he would never have played football. And if he'd know about the effects of long term alcohol consumption... he have never, ever drank all those million or two highballs--
Gadzooks! Did any ever tell Joe about the long term effects of banging groupies... and sideline reporters?
Guess... not--
