The National Park Service used falsified data to shut down an 80-year-old oyster company in Point Reyes, Calif, its owner claims.
Drakes Bay Oyster Company operated in Point Reyes for decades until National Park Service officials used falsified data to force Kevin Lunny’s family-run oyster farm to shut down. The experience has left its mark on Lunny: “We are terrified,” he told lawmakers during a hearing Thursday.
“Let me be clear, we did not fail as a business,” Lunny said in his prepared testimony. “This was not bad luck. Rather, the Park Service engaged in a taxpayer-funded enterprise of corruption to run our small business out of Point Reyes.”

I feel sorry for the poor schmuck that harasses a farmer/fisher too far and some government agent end up swimming with the fishes...

Unintended Consequences
The government should be terrified of we, the people.
Perhaps if they had claimed to be “Native Americans” or some such thing...
After forcing them out of the oyster business, the government demanded they bake cakes for local gay weddings.
Were they using up all the seawater?
I believe they may have been deliberately altering the salinity of the entire ocean.

in the final stages of the battle all the Farms Customers.. .the Restaurants and Markets went to bat for them bigtime...yet...it did no good whatsoever.
The bad data being SETTLED SCIENCE....held sway!
That’s what happens when you have too many bureaucrats with unlimited time to generate tons of rules and regulations that no one can understand, keep track of and obey.
Shut down the EPA.
If the facts in the testimony are substantiated, a number of Park Service and other government officials should be indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced to serve hard time in a maximum securty prison.
And shut down The National Park Service too. Duh!
We the People. That’s what they are afraid of least.
Well, that would be fine except that AFSCME(or whatever public sector union they belong to) would bail them out. Rarely do these assclown suffer any consequences.
The envirowhackos at the NPS are not above lying to get what they want.
They go after gold panners, cattle ranchers, private property owners . . anyone who seeks to make a living outside the parameters of govt control.
The now former owners of this business should keep an eye on what happens to this property. Often a friend of someone in the Park Service wants this property for themselves.
