"U.S. taxpayers have spent over $22 trillion on anti-poverty programs (in constant 2012 dollars)."

It would cost much less to just build walls around the cities.

CVS Pharmacy invested in the urban community, and look how much appreciation they got.

Same with Rite Aid.

What does “invest in urban communities” mean?

It means steal from those who prosper because of their culture,
and give to those who fail because of their culture.

Thank you for referencing that article yuffy. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"Obama On Baltimore: Republican Congress Won’t Invest in Urban Communities"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Lawless Obama is evidently trying to win the votes of low-information voters, voters who have never been taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.

More specifically, the Supreme Court has historically clarified that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues, essentially any issue which Congress cannot justify with its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

And since the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to invest taxpayer dollars in intrastate urban communities, citizens shouldn’t be paying federal taxes for such purposes.

So it's the Republicans who are holding back all the companies and entrepreneurs who are itching to invest in America's black ghettos?

How exactly are they doing that? Have they passed (and Obama signed) laws forbidding private investment in black areas?

Of course by "invest", Hussein really means "spend", as in spending taxpayer dollars on the usual zero-return community activist nonsense that's been around ever since liberals discovered white guilt.

I don’t see how anything happening in Baltimore can be attributed to racism.

It is a majority black city. The majority of city council members are black. The mayor is black. The chief of police is black.

Whatever else people say, they can’t be intellectually honest if they talk about racism being in this equation. The power structure of Baltimore, a majority black city, is also majority black. Blacks run Baltimore. So where exactly is the racism????

“More funding for early education” is wasted money. The Head Start program has been proven by numerous studies that any advantage the kids get from it is lost by the 3rd grade. It is nothing but free daycare for the parent(s). Yet practically every state has a Head Start program.

As usual with liberals, it’s not the results that count but the self-righteous feeling you get from “doing something”.

The city of Baltimore itself is actually a completely separate political entity from the rest of Maryland. As such, when white flight happened in a big way after the 1968 riots caused by the reaction to the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., Baltimore fell into the same financial distress as Detroit--indeed, Baltimore is one of the most financially-distressed cities in the USA, and even the opening of the beautiful Camden Yards for the Orioles and M&T Bank Stadium for the Ravens has not helped revive the city.

The big-eared one already urinated away trillions on his ‘social justice’ scams. No more.

Baltimore needs less government and more liberty. School freedom, friendly business environment, more take-home pay through lower taxes, and more personal responsibility. None of which will happen under the liberal hacks running the city.

Of course this “SPINELESS” worm we call president will immediately pass the blame on somebody else. Although 95% of the black population voted for this “SPINELESS” worm, he has brought in almost 30 million illegal invaders into this country, to vie for the jobs that the black population used to do. That’s why the unemployment in the black communities are a lot higher, than any other group. This “SPINELESS” worm has done more to destroy the black communities than any KKK member ever did.
