Navy Chaplain Censored: ‘Don’t pray in the name of Jesus’

A Navy chaplain who faces the end of a stellar 19-year career because of his faith-based views on marriage and human sexuality was told by a base commander to refrain from offering a prayer in the name of Jesus, according to attorneys representing the chaplain.

That allegation was tucked away in an 18-page letter written to the commander of Navy Region Southeast by Liberty Institute attorneys representing Chaplain Wesley Modder. Liberty Institute is a law firm that specializes in religious liberty cases.

Liberty Institute asserts that Chaplain Modder’s fate could have a significant impact on every Christian military chaplain.

The letter included the results of Liberty Institute’s investigation of allegations levied against the chaplain by Captain John Fahs.

I’ll tackle that newest allegation later – but first here’s a recap of what I believe to be the LGBT-inspired witch hunt against Chaplain Modder:

Last December, an openly gay officer at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in South Carolina, took offense at Modder’s take on homosexuality. The chaplain, who is endorsed by the Assemblies of God, was accused of discrimination and failing to show tolerance and respect – among other things.

Just a few months earlier, Modder’s commander had called him the “best of the best” and a consummate professional leader.” But now he’s on the verge of being kicked out of the military.

We are in a weird situation here, where any real Christian chaplain gets kicked out for refusing to leave Christ out of his prayers... and this means any “christian” chaplain who remains in the service must be fired once Obama is gone. Because clearly, they aren’t Christians.

Well, there goes the navy. Obama has 4 more branches of the military to kill. Next to fold probably the airforce. Then the army. Then coast guard. Marines will probably be last to fold but they are on the way.

I would surmise that the AF has fallen to the ways of social/religious engineering years ago. At the AF Academy, about 4 years ago, a wiccan/pagan/druid site was dedicated. The AF leads in kowtowing to the progressive liberals' agendas. Far too many perfumed princes, spineless wonders have been appointed these last several years. They will not endanger their rank amost certainly will place their retirement/perks at risk.

There have been numerous stories regarding the Army's reduction in force (or rather drummed out) of numerous chaplins.

IMHO, three services have been affected, only the Marines still maintain their old standards....BUT these standards are indeed assaulted by the Heads of Staff appointed by the 'won'.

Why hide everything that we know?His best friend and shout out was a drug dealer and Homo in high school yearbook.The list goes on.I don’t know what he has that the government needs but they worked out a deal.He gets to play golf and act like a president.Stays sober for the important parts.But he gets to promote what he feels is important.Gays and Trans are important to him,either he or his wife calls them when they come out.TV shows need a gay person and gay sex-every TV show.All mainstream news is in favor.Obama comes out after election and that’s the deal.They are setting this up.

Thank you Fatima. I agree with you. It’s a mess and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he comes out in several areas after the election.

I will say, I doubt it. I think he feels like he might lose some respect if he does it in the open. He may continue to play the game... I wouldn’t bet against you though.

This has actually been going on for many years, under the direction to make all military religious life non-sectarian. Christians know that the most powerful aspect of prayer is to invoke the name of Jesus. It is under that name that demons are expelled, people are healed, blessings given, and salvation bestowed.

Under the Obama administration, anti-Christian bigot Mikey Weinstein (who I believe is demonically possessed) is given power and authority to set policy. He calls evangelical Christians "monsters" and compares faith in Jesus to "terrorism."

He has also said on occasion that his problem is not with Catholics, because they don't present him with "problems." It is only the Evangelical Christians that he hates with a passion.
