Two years ago, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, the nation’s top military officer, laid down an edict on the Obama administration’s plan to open direct land combat jobs to women: If women cannot meet a standard, senior commanders better have a good reason why it should not be lowered.
Today, the “Dempsey rule” appears to have its first test case.
The Marine Corps just finished research to see if female officers could successfully complete its rigorous Infantry Officer Course.

I can tell you that never happened in the book. Women weren’t in the Mobile Infantry.
It was a great book, and should be read by everyone. Along with ERB, it started my life-long love affair with science fiction.

I would like to see someone show us why having lower standards for women will improve the military. As far as I can see women are not the equivalent of a man in combat. If the goal is to have more soldiers killed then I guess that is the answer. Political Correctness is the why to destruction.

No thought about performance, it is the representation that is vital to them, even if it means a drop of 50% or more in performance and an increase in large parts in support costs.
The blood and treasure is worth it to them.

Walking around this world with your hands tied gets you beat up, robbed and probably dead.
There will be an accounting for all this stupidity that the Democrats are pulling. I guarantee it will be horrible.
The Law Of Effect teaches us that you will generally receive less of behavior that is punished. The people who bring this horrible outcome upon us must then be punished to ensure that this type of behavior is discouraged. It will be necessary.

The females in the Armed Forces should be issued swords. Girls with swords are really hot.
When I was in the military, there were certain rules a soldier was never to do in public, because it was unmanly.
Where have those rules gone!
