Nobody could write dialog like Elmore.
Not sure how many he shot, but it looks like 28 killed.
Scroll down this Justified wiki page on Raylan Givens until you get to "Victims".
I wanted so much to watch Deadwood because of Olyphant, but could not get beyond the F-bombardment.
Ava, along with all the main characters, got sexier in a more mature kind of way. Justified had a great cast of characters all the way around. One of the better messages was the deep bond between Raylan and Boyd while being at opposite ends of the law. You just knew they dug coal together. You could tell.
I love some of the actors Like Olyphant but seemed to just stereotype to me
Jewish Hollywood hipster defines hillbillies
I liked Elmore too
The first show was shot on location but the rest is California
Easy to tell if u live in near Appalachia like me
I always get a huge kick out of Art and his antics. Supposed to be a very conservative guy in real life.

Easy to tell if you lived most of your life in the area they filmed it. Been on many of those roads.
After watching Justified, I tried Deadwood, and found it almost unwatchable. Boring plots, uninteresting characters, and gratuitous nudity, sex, and profanity (I don’t mind this if it is necessary for the story; but in Deadwood’s case, it seemed to just be a substitute for a story). I made it through the first season, and half the second, before cutting my losses. Even Olyphant’s character was only a pale imitation (I guess pale precursor, would be more accurate) of his role in Justified.
The portrayal of eastern Kentucky was about as authentic as a soft-shelled crab from Kansas. The characters were all exaggerated stereotypes. It would never be confused with a documentary on the daily life of the US Marshall’s service. But, somehow, it all worked, and worked beautifully.
Justified will be missed. It probably had run its course, anyway, but it was a real gem.
The language in Deadwood was hard to cut through.
One episode was literally characters going across town talking about the meeting they were going to have and that was it. I don't even remember if they ever had the meeting or what they talked about.
All the pimps and prostitutes stuff was also hard to put up with, too. Brutal.
But I liked the effort to be historically accurate and to recreate a lost world. Seth Bullock and Sol Star were decent guys trying to do an impossible job.
Raylan Givens overdid the whole "attitude" thing and was kind of a jerk.
Yes. And the ending was perfect.
I ived in Logan WV and our parents sent us to boarding school in Paintsville. The bus went through Kermit and inez north of Harlan each way.
I loved the stylized dialogue. I like to call it Appalachian Victorian.
This from season one. Raylan offering a blessing over the meal Boyd's church had made:
Dear Lord, before we eat this meal we ask forgiveness for our sins, especially Boyd who blew up a black church with a rocket launcher and afterwards he shot his associate Jared Hale in the back of the head out on Tates Creek Bridge. Let the image of Jareds brain matter on that windshield not dampen our appetites, but may the knowledge of Boyds past sins help guide these men. May this food provide them with all the nourishment they need. But, if it does not, may they find comfort in knowing that the United States Marshal Service is offering $50,000 dollars to any individual providing information that will put Boyd back in prison. Cash or check, we can make it out to them. Or to Jesus. Whoever they want. In your name, we pray. Amen.
I’m just disappointed that Raylan and Winona didn’t get married...
That would have been a sweet ending to the series, rather than some other guy raising his daughter.
