Sen. Mike Lee would have quite the fight on his hands if he were to face off against former Rep. Jim Matheson in 2016.
The latest UtahPolicy.com shows 48% of Utahns would support Lee while 42% would back Matheson. 10% are undecided.
Matheson's electoral calculus has always been the same in heavily Republican Utah. Win a majority of Democrats, pick off some Republicans and get a majority of the independent vote. The survey shows Matheson would win 87% of Democrats, 20% of Republicans and 57% of independents. He would likely need to increase the numbers among Republican and independent voters to have a chance at unseating Lee.

Bad news out of Utah. Mike Lee is one of the good ones, we can’t afford to lose him.
Lee would take it. First of all he is doing an excellent job and the incumbent is a positive for Lee. I am not worried about this race at all. Lee will win it. I wouldn’t mind him being Walker’s VP though.
I recall these same dem party push polls about Dems taking that GA senate seat or the NC seat or the Iowa or the Kansas seat or the S Dakota seat !!!
That all got crushed and the pollsters intentionally hid those facts to sell a lie . Did you notice no one gets fired or shut down at PPP or or Marist or QU or Zogby or CNN or Wash Compost or NYSlimes for intentionally spreading lies and false polls! These scam pollster are back selling the Dem propaganda the new election cycle to Dem front groups like ABC or Nbc ...

Wouldn’t there be a lot of Mormon voters who voted against Mia Love because they believe Mormons are white or dont believe in any group (race or religion) converting to LDS?
Don’t buy into all these supposed polls. A few weeks ago Mike Lee’s approval rating was 67%. He should sail to a re-election.

Lil Josh maybe should run so he can get curbstomped by Sen. Lee, or actually have the common courtesy of running as a Democrat (the first honest thing anyone in that family would’ve done since before 1962).
